Where do you guys get grade 10.9 bolts?

dcdyd, they are correct by stating that they are 8.8, but as I said it is the metric strength and it converts to a grade 5 US. Go ahead and use them and get the 10.9's, I dont think we have any at my work right now, but if you cant seem to find them let me know I will see what I can round up at...

99 4.0sohc oil pan bolt head

I am trying to pull the oil pan on my 1999 4.0 SOHC and it seems that the head size on the bolts is not anything that I have in my tool box. Is there a special socket to buy or did someone just round off my bolts when they tried to get into it before? I dont want to just knock on a socket to...

Where do you guys get grade 10.9 bolts?

Be sure to understand that the number stamped on the head of a metric bolt isnt the same as the US Standard grade. A metric bolt stamped with an 8.8 is roughly a Standard Grade 5 bolt, a metric 10.9 and up is roughly a grade 8 bolt. Too many people come into the fastner store that I work at...

    Swap 97 SOHC for a 94 OHV

    Tranny Trouble

well, I have not got it to him yet but best he could figure was that the bands where shot and overheated the trany, he said it isnt uncommon for an overheated trany to spit fluid from the vent tube. I will have to take his word on that one, I am not quite as versed in auto trany's, more of a...

    Tranny Trouble

My transmission just lost all of its fluid, I got it towed home and up on jackstands and I see what looks to be a vent tube on the drivers side of the tranny near the shifting linkage that appears spit out all of the fluid. My question is, is this a vent tube for the tranny and what would have...
