I've looked around about it a lot. Seems it could be either or. I noticed that these 5r55w's have a looooong history of the valve body going bad. It would be my guess to just replace the solenoid pack and the valve body

Thanks for the reply, Pop. I wasn't in OD. Previously, I'd been having a small shift flare between 4th and 5th/OD, so beings I drive in the city 95% of the time I decided to just keep it out of OD. I've not been having problems since then until lastnight. I don't know a lot about these vehicles...

Well, tonight that door speaker decided to play. All the wiring was checked a couple days ago and everything was good. So I figured maybe it was just a bad speaker. Tonight I decided to crank the volume a bit because a song I liked came on...Guess what? Somehow that door speaker has started...

All wiring is fine. Checked it out a little bit ago. I pulled out cd player fuse to check it. It was good. After I put it back in I checked the unit again. I had sound coming from 3 speakers. But not driver door speaker. Now I'm lost again

So I pulled the unit and checked all connections. Everything was good. I have two separate fuses behind the unit. One is in a box and the other is a inline. I pulled the boxed fuse, it was good. Put it back in and checked unit. I had all speakers playing except for driver door. I checked inline...

Lol. I would love for it to be some sort of loose connections. Someone had told me it could be a bad head unit. But its getting power and functioning as usual, after I had to readjust all the settings again. I will pull it and check all connections. Thanks!!

Theres a 3/4" bypass cap on the very back passenger side. That seems to be where it was leaking. I pulled it off and there was about a 1/2" crack. Looked to be dry rotted. Replaced it and so far everything is fine.

Thanks guys. Just went out to find where the leak is coming from. Under the black covering (I don't know the correct name) over the motor I noticed some standing fluid on the back passenger side. So I'm about to take it off and see what I find
