Right now, I have 4 Hella 500s on my Carr light bar, and 2 500s in the front. Generally, do most people put rectangular or round lights up top? I cant decide if I want to keep my 500s, or buy 4 hella 550s. Im kind of leaning towards the rectangular, but i dont know.

Lol, you are lucky. I guess it could be because my bar sits higher and I have round lights as opposed to the rectangular ones that everybody usually puts on the roof. Glad to hear yours is nice and quiet though. What kind of lights you have up there?

Nahh, it wont. Unless you want to drill it into your roof. The only lightbar that I found that works for explorers are the ones made by Carr.

Can anybody who has a Carr Light Bar tell me how they mounted it to their X? I found that you need the gutterless mount kit to install the bar, but how exactly does the mount kit work? What has to be drilled? and generally, what has to be done to get the mount kit to work?
