    Setina Push Bar with Strobes

I am selling the Setina push bar I had installed on my 2011 Explorer. I salvaged it before the insurance company wrote off the vehicle after rats ate out the airbags. The push bar does not have the mounts that were around the steel bumper backing. It does have the Setina installed Whelan strobe...

    Push Bar for Explorer

I have a Setina push bar PB400 with Whelan white strobes, and controller, built into the top bar and round driving lights mounted on the lower bracket. See photos earlier in this thread. It is for sale, but located in the US Virgin Islands. The car was written off after rodents ate the air bags...

    DRL (Daytime Running Lights)

go back to the beginning area of this thread. detailed directions on how the tech is to turn on DRL... it is easy for them, and if you were to say I'll bet the cost, if they follow the directions exactly as I wrote it down, they would lose the bet every time. And if buying a new car, have that...

    Push Bar for Explorer

I would write to Setina and ask that very question. I'm sure they want to sell more, and if they can modify to accommodate the demand I'm sure a redesign would be in the works.

    Electrical Failure

Back to this issue... Three times in the past ten days the vehicle has quit while driving. Twice it restarted after a 10- 20 minute wait. One time it was three hours before it suddenely came alive again. Each time it was taken to the dealer, and again, they can find nothing wrong. The reliabilty...

    2011 - 2018 Explorer Power Steering Issue

Interested in you comment of total power loss, as in total loss. No it was not battery. Mine did it 6 times over three years. It acts like the battery had been suddenly removed from the vehicle, then reconnected ten minutes later. No cause was ever found, but has not happened in two years now.

    Push Bar for Explorer

If you are comfortable removing the entire front plastic cover of the vehicle, it is an easy install. The surprising part is how few fasteners actually hold the entire front on the car. Measure carefully, do a loose install of all parts before tightening the D bracket to the steel bumper bar...

    Push Bar for Explorer

I had phoned Setina initially. They gave me the full retail, but said they do not sell direct. However, they did give me colour options. I ended up purchasing through the nearest police safety supply (Dana in Miami) at lower than the Setina retail.

Installing or Programming Daytime Running lights (DRL)

The tech has to log into the BCM and select the light option for daytime running lights. First step is to turn them on. then a second step involves telling the bcm which lights.

because we can... a not so serious answer. But besides the other stated reasons, it keeps the "park by touch" people off your grill...

Setina Instructions for PB400 Pushbar Okay, sorry it took so long. But here is the three page instruction detail for the Setina PB400 Pushbar. I had to degrade the copy of page two since it was too large for this forums rules. PM me if you want a full set as one file or the good page two.

Send me a PM with your email. I have scanned the instructions which are three pages, but don't see right away how to post on this thread.

Installing or Programming Daytime Running lights (DRL)

In BCM under exterior lights, there are two settings, one to turn DRL on, and then a separate software switch for which light set to be turned on. The two software toggle switches have to be accessed separately. Details in a post I put on here a long time ago.

Installing or Programming Daytime Running lights (DRL)

The DRL on the amber PL is NOT actually the parking light. It is the bright, turn signal strength amber, so much brighter than if it were parking lights. ie the same intensity as a turn signal or four way flasher.

Installing or Programming Daytime Running lights (DRL)

My Amber lights are the DRL too, but I also wired from the same circuit, a pair of LED spots installed where the stock Fog lights would be. The LED are inexpensive and simple windshield adhesive was all that was needed to hold them into the cutout.

    DRL (Daytime Running Lights)

I would assume you turn on your headlights at night and in doing so, bypasses the DRL circuit.

the bumper cover has remarkably few fasteners. bulky, but not difficult.

    Push Bar for Explorer

just for record, a 32 inch light bar will fit between the uprights. (measures 33") Also when considering some light options, Setina will install in the top bar, lights, with pre wire configuration.

    2011 - 2018 Explorer Power Steering Issue

Good... mine is on the list... with warranty ending in a few weeks, I will feel better knowing this is threat will be reduced, or if it happens, there was a recal. in place.

    Push Bar for Explorer

why is that? I had found this in another thread here, quote "I found it when I pulled the bumper. It is located on the driver side below and just next to the headlight housing. There is a sort of smooth patch next to the opening of the grill that is about 4 inches by 4 inches. In short since the...
