    Brake Question

I did let the MC get extremely low, possibly too low. I think that I have air in the HCU now and I will have to get one of the adapters to get the air bled out correctly. The way that I bled the brakes was that I got my dad to pump and hold the pedal while I cracked the bleeder slowly I went...

    Brake Question

I spent last weekend doing the brakes on my 93 xlt 2wd. I bought new rotors and calipers for the front and new cylinders and shoes for the rear. I replaced all 3 soft brake hoses. After all of this the brakes still feel squishy. I don't think the problem is in the booster of master cylinder...

    Axle pivot bushings

Well today I did it. I pulled the axles, radius arms, swaybar and everything else. I changed the axle bushings ( not that big of a deal really), I changed the radius arm bushings, the sway bar bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints, and shocks. I think that pretty much covers it. I had to replace...

    Axle pivot bushings

This ex is a 2WD with 220,000 miles on it. I thought that I would NEED to replace the pivot bushings due to the milage. Thanks.

    Axle pivot bushings

How do I install the new ones? Will a little grease make them slide in easier? I bought some MOOG APB today and I hope to start on the x this weekend. Do I need a press or can I use an all-thread and a couple of big washers to put the new ones in? Thanks for the help. I am also going to change...

    Axle pivot bushings

I am thinking it is time to change my APB's. How do I do this? Can it be done without pulling the entire axle assembly out from under the truck? Can I just put my floor jack under the axle, remove the pivot bolt and carefully lower the axle to clear everything then change them out? Do I have to...

    Axle pivot bushings

I am wanting to change out the axle pivot bushings on my 93 2 WD 4 door. Is this an easy job? Does it require any special tools? Can I just pull the axle pivot bolt and let the end down with my jack and just swap them out, or do I have to pull the complete axle out? I looked at the assembly...

    Rear Brake Problems!

Check the small wire cable (it has a loop on one end and a hook on the other) Mine broke once and it caused the brake to bind up, the hook end pulled off. I think that it has something to do with the parking brake.

Oil Leak on 94' XL 4x4

Check the oil preasure sending unit. I once had one that would pour out of the wire connection area.

    Valance

I have a 93 XLT 4 door with the valance below the doors and the short piece at the bottom of the front fender. I want to take these off. What does it look like under them? Are they just held on with screws or are they pop riveted on? Is the body shaped like a Ranger under the pieces? Thanks for...

    Max Tire Size

I guess that I will just stay with the 235/75/15 tire size and look for something pretty aggressive. I kind of like the "pre-runner" look. It has lots of space between the tires and the fenders. Thanks for your help.

    Max Tire Size

I have a 93 XLT 4 door 2WD with the 4.0. I am wanting to put on some larger tires. I have a 4" lift on the truck now. What is the largest tire size I can put on with the 3.08 rear end? I don't want to work the engine too hard with 215,000 miles on it. Thanks for the help. Rob
