My second gen has screws with a head that looks like it needs a socket. No regular screw driver will work here.

    P0133 P0153 P0401 - O2 part mumbers?

22" long oxygen sensor???? Doesn't sound right.. Maybe the cable with the connector is 22" long. The tips looks like the same length to me. I'd probably buy the long ones anyways and just tie wrap any left over.

    Inexpensive oxygen sensors ?

Yeah, That's more or less what I'm paying for them here in Mexico. 700 pesos for front and 800 pesos for rear.

    P0133 P0153 P0401 - O2 part mumbers?

Strange, Autozone website shows the reverse for a v6 OHV. 15718 is upstream and 15719 is down stream.

It's only happened to me when someone dropped a penny into it by mistake. Then the button could not be depressed far enough to unlatch it.

A/C compressor comes ON no matter what..

It comes on at every position except off. Even A/C and MAX A/C, which of course it's supposed to. The way I interpret it is that all positions are vent positions except those that say A/C.

A/C compressor comes ON no matter what..

A/C compressor comes ON no matter what setting it's on.(except off of course.) I'd like some suggestions for where to look for the possible culprits. Possible bridge the fan blower fuse with the a/c compressor fuse? Possibly jumpered the fan and compressor cables behind the HVAC control panel...

I do a flush and filter religiously at every 30,000 miles or sometime sooner if I begin to feel rough shifts.

95 Explorer XLT ALARM locking the starter? HELP!!

There is a start solenoid and relays involved. The best thing right now is to turn your switch to the ON position and take a jumper cable and jumper the red terminal from your battery to positive side of your starter (just enough to start it, don't leave it connected) so that you can get home...

Max speed is limited to 160 km/h

At that speed, all it takes is a strong gust of wind, and some over correction on his part and he'll have to rename his truck to "flipper" (if he makes it out alive). I can't imagine anything that might warrant driving that fast. If only half of that speed is enough to put your life in danger. GEEZ

    Cruise Control

The cable is part of the wireing harness (I believe) The cruise control servo (motor) is right behind the windshield wiper refill tank and Coolant refill tank. I believe the first one will be the coolant, and the second one will be the windshield wiper fluid. You should notice cables going to...

    Power Washing the Engine Compartment

Yeah, i don't think spraying cold water on a hot engine is being suggested by anyone. I just idle mine in the driveway to warm it to help the degreaser out a bit. The degreaser stays on for about 5-15 minutes anyways, giving the engine a chance to cool down (even if it was hot); before I spray...

Max speed is limited to 160 km/h

yeah, you'd have to modify it enough that it would be no good as a truck any more. The suspension be no good for off-road use, etc, etc, etc.

    Sugar in tank???!!!

Might as well throw in your favorite ICE TEA or LEMONADE mix into it as well. Glad to hear that the sugar thing is just a hoax. But I heard hollandaise sauce is the worst. :D

    Power Washing the Engine Compartment

See if you can dial you machine down to maybe 1200 psi to make sure nothing is damaged. Anything brittle or falling off with that, you might want to change anyways as it was about to break and leave you stranded any moment now. I would warm it up, spray it down with a bottle of simple...

Cruise control light on dash went out

Peanut, I think it's obvious. You touched something. Just retrace your steps and make sure everything is in tight and has a good connection. then test it while the dash it still apart. Drive down the street with just enough screws to keep your dash from falling off while you drive. Once your...

Max speed is limited to 160 km/h

Yeah, when that bugatti Veyron flies by you on the autobahn; your explorer is not that vehicle that you'd want to try to pull up on him. Trust me. Topgun quote (or mis-quote as it may be): "Your mind is writing checks your car can't cash." However, if you run into a string of speed bumps, you...

    Temperature gauge low

Thank you all!! Thanks to hartman, swetrid, corkey, and others. It's now working right!!! You guys hit it right on the nose. It wasn't on backward, it was open all the time, and didn't appear to open much more than the sliver it was already open.

    Temperature gauge low
