96 Explorer with Dealer Installed Ford Security, How to Program Remote?

I have a 1996 Explorer, it has what looks to be a Ford Dealer Installed Security System made by Ford, I found a black box under the drivers side dash and a motion sensor also attached to it. When I start the engine the door locks cycle lock/unlock multiple times, I can push either the lock or...

I have a 98 Explorer 4.0 OHV V6 with a bad engine (lower end), I have a donor vehicle, 96 Explorer 4.0 OHV V6. I see some slight differences in the wiring harness from a quick visual inspection but the core engine looks the same. Will they interchange? I have been told that 96/97 are...

01 Explorer Sport Brake Pedal Position Switch wiring schematic

Ok UPDATE! The RAP module on an 01 2 door sport is behind the Passanger Airbag. I found the Red/Green wire going to the RAP module also, with everything plugged in, ABS module, Brake Pedal Position Switch, ect, it also tests to be grounded, if I disconnect the ABS module it still shows to...

01 Explorer Sport Brake Pedal Position Switch wiring schematic

You are correct. I am at my wits end with this one, I have eliminated the Brake Pedal Position Switch, the Shift Interlock, and the ABS Module itself by replacing them. The Red/Green wire shows no connection to ground until I plug in the ABS module connector either with Old ABS Module or New...

01 Explorer Sport Brake Pedal Position Switch wiring schematic

Does anyone know of another site I can get access to wiring diagrams? There is a solid Green wire on the ABS controller connector that also shows being shorted to ground, trying to determine where that wire goes?

01 Explorer Sport Brake Pedal Position Switch wiring schematic

It only shows that wire grounded when the ABS connector is plugged in to the ABS module at the pump, if I unplug it then no short, would assume short in module but I have already replaced it.

01 Explorer Sport Brake Pedal Position Switch wiring schematic

No Problem, I do appreciate your input very much. That Red/Green wire coming off the Brake Pedal Position Switch has a dead short to ground which I assume is why it is poping the fuse as soon as I hit the brake pedal. I found a Red/Green wire on the ABS Control module and it doesn't have a...

I have a 2001 Explorer Sport. The ABS Light is on, and it keeps blowing the Brake Pedal Position Fuse as soon as I touch the Brake Pedal. Also wont allow me to shift out of Park. If I unplug the ABS Controller on the pump I can shift out of Park and it doesnt blow the fuse, the ABS light...

    97 Explorer V8, multiple codes, P0118, p0340, and p0443

OK, I figured out the #1 TDC issue, I removed the hold down bolt but the syncronizer wont pull up out of the block, it turns freely but I can't get it to come out, am I missing something? I tried a small amount of pressure with a pry bar but still no success. Thanks

    97 Explorer V8, multiple codes, P0118, p0340, and p0443

Any advice on how too make sure that #1 is TDC on the compression stroke? and once it is, is it just a matter of removing the hold down bolt, pulling it out and dropping the new one back in? Will it only align up one way? Thanks Again.

    97 Explorer V8, multiple codes, P0118, p0340, and p0443

Wow, yes I see the problem!! My question is changing the drive gears is usually aided by the special alignment tool, I don't think that is gonna work here? Is there a procedure to replace the complete unit? Thanks
