Anybody done Warn manual hub conv?

It's a snap. buy the hubs but not the adapter kit! You can get the same parts, the spindle nuts and washers (look like washers with holes and a key way in each) off a junk yard D44 axle.

making half doors from stock doors

thanks for the info guys. I was thinking of just taking some tube or pipe, bending the sections into V or U looking shapes and just using those. The open ends would attach to the body and the pointed or rounded end would contain the latch. I think that route would be all around less...

making half doors from stock doors

I searched but didn't come up with a whole lot. Has anyone fabbed half doors using stock doors? I've got a '97 4door and want to make a set of simple, no frills half doors. I think i might go by a local junk yard and pick up a pair of junk '95+ junk doors and start cutting. I plan on...

I'm at 95K miles and have gone through 1 A4LD and believe my 2nd maybe on it's way out. I'm gonna have it looked over and rebuilt before I start flat towing around my Toyota p/u. AOD sounds great I just hope AA makes the t-case adapter as well. How about shifting issues? Won't the ECU need...

    PIAA 9007s

I have the 9007s and like them alot. Right off the bat, you might not notice a difference but a few minutes in the car at night, and you will notice. They're obviously a whole lot more white than any other OEM highlight on the road. I have a'97 lifted via a torsion bars, shackles and 31s...

    97 OHV runs hot

My "new" engine is out of a '97 Ranger - same motor (OHV). I feel some heat at my feet while driving (no, the heat's not on). The temp gauge never budges but I've feeling this heat since I got this motor..don't know why I'm just now asking about it. Also, the shop who did the install said...

    solid axle conversion for 95+

I brought this up a while ago and was kind of ignored so here it goes again: Has anybody ever given this serious thought? I mean, if Toyota p/u's and 4Runners and Chevy s-10s can be transformed to solid axle rigs, why can't the 95+ Explorers and Rangers? I guess anything is possible for the...

A buddy of mine has a '94 Ranger with the stock in-bumper round fog lights and had a lens stollen of one of the lights. drilling holes on a '97 air box

As you all probably know, the 97 has the cylindrical air box. I've already got a drop in K&N and am interested in drilling some holes in the box. Where should I drill these holes, how many, how big...etc. I've already performed a search knowing there's tons of info on this but not a whole lot...

Trying to get in contact with Dana (the axle people)

Thanks Stephen. BTW, we should meet up sometime! I'm trying to line up a co-op with Dana, preferably on the East-coast. Between my interest in cars and trucks, especially off-road vehicles, I think Dana would be a pretty interesting place to work. I'm going to send out some e-mails to...
