Also, a link to a video that goes into detail on how to do the repair would be extremely helpful. I spent hours on end...

    Nice mod work, and thank you very much for the reply. As happy as I am to know that I'm not alone in failing to find the replacement part, It also sucks pretty bad that it will likely require a mod. I do have what I need to mod it like you did, but I'm nervous about removing the coolant loop...

    Smoke test for Vacuum Leak

    this home made smoke machine is very cheap and I had half of the stuff already. It worked! You can use baby oil too and get it at most dollar stores. Make sure the sock is really soaked and you bury the saudering iron needle into the sock. You'll see what I mean. I used an inertube inlet instead...
