    Dish vs Direct - Experiences?

I love Directv for NFL Sunday ticket but ever since I switched to Verizon Fios, won't be going back to satellite. I had Dish Network before Directv, hated it.

    Strange electrical issues help please

As soon as you figure it up, lets us know what it was. I hate electrical problems. When I come across one, I just send it to the electrical shop. I had an issue not to long ago and I was at the point of ripping all the wiring out of the truck in frustration...Good Luck

I got a hole in my muffler, what should i do about it?

A muffler or repair is super cheap. If the muffler is in good shape, a muffler shop can repair it for under two bucks. You can also find mufflers on craigslist for 20 bucks. I found a flowmaster for my truck for 25. Now if your whole exhaust is falling apart, then thats a different story.

    93 Ex overheating

Ever since the first time my old Mustang overheated and I destroyed the head and gasket, I always make sure that everyone of my cars or trucks gets a complete cooling system overhaul. When I purchased by 91 Ex, first thing I did was a complete flush. Replaced all hoses, removed and cleaned out...

    93 Ex overheating

Overall question about this thread and overheating. I am pretty much a do it yourself guy when it comes to vehicle repair but I still have a lot to learn. Would it be correct to state that a head gasket or head failure due to overheating is the result of improper cooling or blockage? What I am...

    Engine Swaps In California

Finally got around to getting quotes for a complete engine rebuild. The shop I found in my area is giving me a quote of 2000 for the complete rebuild and 600 for the install. They gave me a two week or less timetable. This is what the company does in the engine rebuilding process: complete...

    Engine Swaps In California

I would much rather rebuild this block if the bottom end is in good condition. I wont know the status until I start tearing it apart. My truck runs ok currently but motor seems tired. I'm also debating on whether to do it myself or take to a shop for the rebuild.

    Engine Swaps In California

I have a 91 Explorer with the 4.0 OHV engine, I believe. While the engine runs and idles good, it is in need of a refurbish. I'm at the point of either rebuilding my current block or pulling a good block from the Pick A Part and rebuilding that one. Was thinking about a V8 but due to smog issues...

    Tow Hooks Needed

In looking to install tow hooks in the front of my 91 Ex. I will not be doing any heavy duty recovery, mostly for someone pulling me out of a jam. I've searched the site for ideas and I'm still torn between what fits best on my Ex. I want a mostly stock look for the hooks. I don't want to do any...

    1st Gen Steering Wheel Replacement

I'm resurrecting this thread from the dead since I don't want to start a new one. How hard is it to remove the stock steering wheel and replacing with an aftermarket one like one from Grant?
