    Explorer 02 Spacer lift questions

Hello, yes I was able to get them on. I checked and there is at least 1" between the axle shaft. Even at full turns. I did a close inspection to make sure everything was ok. It all seems to be alright. I am about to go for a test drive. i will let you guys know how it turns out. Now i have...

    Explorer 02 Spacer lift questions

I already tried swapping from left to right and from right to left and they still end up with the bushing in the front. Because the front right and left shocks are exactly the same. If it is in the front, it doesn't interfere with anything so i don't see why it would hurt. But then again, I'm...

    Explorer 02 Spacer lift questions

hello guys, I started on the spacer lift tonight and I had a question. When you install the spacer, you have to rotate the shock 180 degrees. The bushing on the bottom of the shock is longer on one side than the other. I heard that it is suppossed to face the rear at all times but when you...

Thanks for the quick response. I won't have to swap the wiring harnesses then, right? I found a good deal on an wrecked 04 sport trac and i want to put the engine in my 02 explorer with a seized engine.

BTF Upper Control Arm/ 33" tires

I thought about using a bench grinder but instead I did about an hour of filing on each end because like you I was afraid of taking too much off. Lol. I finally finished the lift except for the rear bumper. Did anyone else feel a draft from the fan when standing next to the vehicle? When I...

BTF Upper Control Arm/ 33" tires

I was able to get the fan shoud out, but I did have to remove the radiator hose on the bottom. The lift would have been much easier if you didn't have to file out the steering extension. We should find someone that could make those specifically for 3rd gen's. I will probably end up using...

BTF Upper Control Arm/ 33" tires

Thanks a bunch!! I tried to remove it before the lift but then i read on here that it may be easier to do it after the body is lifted. I started the lift on Dec 26 and then we left on vacation Dec 27 and now we are back so I can finish up on the lift. :D

BTF Upper Control Arm/ 33" tires

Fan Shroud Also, was anyone able to remove the fan shroud without removing a radiator hose? Because when I went to remove mine, the radiator hose looked as if it was going to be in the way.

BTF Upper Control Arm/ 33" tires

Thanks Ronin8002. How do you like your lifted 3rd Gen? :) Has any part of the lift been giving you problems? Also, I have a class III hitch and i was planning on flipping the hitch and grinding off the chainhooks and re-welding them on the correct side. Will this work?

BTF Upper Control Arm/ 33" tires

I used the Performance Accesories 883 Body Lift for Ford Rangers like most of everyone else. I disconnected the steering shaft by the firewall at the spot where the pics show. I then jacked up the body and the shaft didn't seperate. I saw a post on here, I think by Roadbully, saying that he...

BTF Upper Control Arm/ 33" tires

Thanks for all the replies. He is still asking $550 for the UCA's? I thought i saw somewhere on here $400, but i may be wrong. It seems like in the long run it would be definitely worth it. Also, when using the PA 883 ranger body lift, do you have to use the steering extension? What would...

BTF Upper Control Arm/ 33" tires

THANKS! Is that sort of lift going to cause problems with the control arms and is it necessary to upgrade to the BTF UCA?

BTF Upper Control Arm/ 33" tires

Hello everyone, I am new to this website and I was wondering if BTF was still making the upper control arms for the spacer lifts. I am adding my truxxx spacer lift this weekend, it is in the mail. Also, will 33" tires fit an explorer with a 3" body lift and 2.5" front/ 1.25" rear spacer lift...
