Don’t waste any money on an H rated tire.
The speed rating isn’t for a straight line speed, it’s speed while turning.
I’ve always ran Michelin tires. Till lately when I’ve been buying new take-offs. Had some Goodyear’s and they were junk. Now have some Bridgestone’s and they seem decent...
So, one day I went to pick up a used foyer light, not realizing it was 4’ tall. I immediately realized their asking price of $25 was going to be a money maker, as this light would not work for me.
listed it for $600, think it had retailed for $1,100 and took $400 for it.
Nice little profit...
Trying to help a guy, I don’t have access to his Mazda.
He’s put on 3 alternators and had them tested.
However he said it’s not charging at all when he drives.
I mentioned he needs to test the alt. output with it in the car.
What triggers this alt to charge? Perhaps it’s not getting a signal?
It was leaking pretty bad and getting worse. After disconnecting the cursed fuel filter, I used a plunger style hand pump and got about 18 gals out.
But now I have to fight the rear driveline bolts in order to get the tank out. #WhatsNext
Someone else had mentioned the cross bar for the transmission bolts. They’d tightened them and their noise went away.
Also, noises travel through metal. I swore my ‘04 had something about to fall off up front. Turned out to be the rear swaybar to frame busing. It lost a lip and poped out...
My parents ‘03 had this. Multiple trips to the dealer up to and including them putting in a completely new rear end (not just parts) and it would always come back.
I’ve always wondered if it wasn’t due to a driveline being out of balance ever so slightly.
I had this in my ‘05. Turned out to be the wheel well inner liner was binding on the wheel. That’s not what it sounded like, but that’s what it was. Over time, physical evidence became visible.
If yours is actually an ‘02 model (what’s the month of production?) and it’s 4wd, it could be the...
Anyone no how to get power to the fuel pump on an ‘04 Explorer?
‘02 - ‘03 you just jump pins 3 and 5 on the relay. But it doesn’t work on the ‘04 and presumably ‘05 models.
Not sure if it’s Can Bus related, or if the crank sensor needs jumped.
I need to get 22 gal. of fuel out...
So I thought if I disconnected the fuel filter to engine hose that I could siphon the tank of its 22 gals of fuel. But no luck. When I prime the pump a little comes out then it stops.
If I crank it comes out, but I don’t want to keep cranking.
Siphoning is not working. How best to drain this...
So, used gas tank has a gouge in the outer layer. It appears to have exposed the inner layer. About the size of an eraser head.
Use a 2 part epoxy to fill it?
Contact the yard for a refund and hope they have another?
So, that’s a funny story. My ‘94 was making a slight rattling sound, and only when the trans was engaged and having just shifted. Mechanic friend said it was most likely those plugs.
So I stopped driving it till I could pull the seats etc to get to the plugs. Then my ‘04 got a gas leak so I...
I’d try it. Easiest fix if it works. Tensioners are externally mounted. Just make sure you prime them with oil first.
The timing on these 4.0’s have been known to let go with zero rattle. Interference engine means, new engine.
