List of Useful Threads Hood Paint bubble issue only

Yeah, July 2016 was covered until July 2021 on the 2017 model... Id bet anything the bubbling has been there though. Its my wife's vehicle and she had been work from home. So its basically a weekend kid carrier. We prob put 3-5K on it last year.

List of Useful Threads Hood Paint bubble issue only

DId you end up doing it? If so, $600 has been thrown around in this thread, which sounds low to me. How much all in?

List of Useful Threads Hood Paint bubble issue only

Ill chime in just to add to the list. 2017 Explorer Plat. 36K miles. (purchase date July 2016). Car is in for inspection/oil change/recall/etc. My father in law just noticed the bubbling on the hood. Probably been there a while.. Ford is telling me to pound sand and the TSB mentioned in...

Treadwear Issue with Ventus S1 Noble 2 Hankooks

Im sure the ford guy was simply telling me what his Hankook rep told him so ill just take it for what it is. Regardless, at least hankook owned up to the mistake. 2 of my tires were so visibly damaged that i was concerned driving on them even when passing inspection. It kind of sucks going...

Treadwear Issue with Ventus S1 Noble 2 Hankooks

17 Platinum with ~19k. All 4 barely passed inspection last month which lead me to looking into the Hankooks. I called Hankook and they would barely talk to me. Told me to take it to the dealer where i purchased. We have bought our last 2 cars at a ford dealer in another state and had them...

    Floor mats/liners/cargo mats

This may be a dumb question, but do you need to remove the Cargo area mat when you change the seats to stowed (flat)? I would think the seats stow nicely over this but it looks like such i tight fit that I'd like to confirm before ordering. Im referring to Ford Part BB5Z-6111600-BB...

    2017 ordering

Can anyone shed some light into custom ordering pricing? If I spec out a platinum with tricoat and 2nd row buckets it is like a 55.4 MSRP from the ford website. If this exact same SUV was at my local dealer (on the lot) i would get like a 3-3.5K "dealership discount" but they elude that this...

is 2017 2nd row console any different than 2016? removable?

So if i build the plat with the only add'er of the tricoat and the 2nd row buckets the MSRP (and net price from ford) is 55.4. (sticker) If that is sitting on the lot i would get the "dealership discount" of ~3500 off that plus what ever else i could negotiate. I dont know 100% but it sounds...

is 2017 2nd row console any different than 2016? removable?

Sorry if I wasnt clear. Finding a tricoat Plat with the 2nd row buckets was very difficult to find in my area when we started looking late spring '16. This combined with sync 3 lead us to waiting on the 17s. As the 17 inventory is now coming out and searchable, it again seems like this will...

is 2017 2nd row console any different than 2016? removable?

Im not sure if my dealer is giving me the run around or not but they told me a new order wont be subject to their "dealership discount". So that is basically like a $3500 difference as we are looking at the Platinum. I think we will find a Tricoat plat with 2nd row buckets (w/o the center...

is 2017 2nd row console any different than 2016? removable?

Hi all, it appears that the 2nd row buckets will again be tough to find this year in a particular trim/color/interior (if early search results are representative of ratios going forward) Its frustrating to find a match and then see it has the 2nd row center console. If they made this removable...

    Platinum - Price paid?

this... I have followed up with a couple dealers in my area. Right now (until June 3rd for new incentives that could be more/less) the only incentive in my area is th 950 cash or 0%x72. To get the 1K bonus cash it has to be on their lot for 60 days and the Plats dont seem to stick...

    Platinum - Price paid?

This sounds all sorts of bad... Im at the exact same MSRP of you @ 55.205 +t/t/etc... This dealer includes wheel locks and all weather mats for free in any new purchase. They are MSRP - 3022 (dealer discount...) - 950 cash back (if dont take the 0%) so 52.183 at 0% or 51.233 with our own...

    Platinum - Price paid?

Thanks AlexK. Unfortunately we hate the 2nd row console. Seems to completely negate that benefit of the buckets. If Ford made it removable it would be a feature we would def be interested in but have read that removing it leaves a big hole in the floor/carpet. Do you mind suggesting a...

    Platinum - Price paid?

Thanks. You may be right. But im also guessing (because the dealer let it slip that they just talked about this in their morning meeting) that they know customers think (if nothing else) that prices will be better at the end of the month combined with the holiday.... and are trying to make...

    Platinum - Price paid?

Are you sure these rebates are for all the explorers? http://www.ford.com/suvs/explorer/incentives/ (zip 18964) The only retail offer im seeing is on the 2.3L Eco. (so not on the Plat...) Under financing im seeing 950 cash or 0%x72... but they cannot be combined. And yes... Im fine...

    Platinum - Price paid?

thank you, this does help. With the tricoat and the buckets Edmunds tells me invoice for my zip is 51.8 (55.2 MSRP). Their first offer to me was 51.233 including the 950 rebate. So it sounds like there is some room to work? Am I being realistic looking for considerable savings past their...

    Platinum - Price paid?

2016 Explorer Platinum, how much below MSRP? Hi All, new here. I did some searching on this and only found some replies around January, looking for some more up to date info? http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=440110&highlight=MSRP With the 2017 starting production soon...

Looking to purchase my first Ford.

You are really confusing me on the pricing... are these new or used? Im shopping for a 2016 Plat Explorer with my wife (Tricoat and buckets so MSRP ~55ish) and being told "rock bottom prices" are around 51K... I actually came to the forum to see if I could get a general feel for how much under...
