    ABS lights and brakes grabbing

Jumped in the explorer and the ABS light was on. Backed out of the parking spot and all of the sudden the brakes grabbed and then released after about half a wheel revolution. Stuck it in drive and drove forward back in the space and it started the grinding again. I'm not sure what it could...

Clicking noise from dash that's NOT the blend door actuator w/video

I have a 2007 4.6l EB Ford Explorer. I've been hearing this clicking noise coming from the passenger side dash. I jump on my trusty explorerforum.com site to check out WTH is going on. I find that it may be a blend door actuator, BUT I am not having any of the symptoms that come with a bad...

    Replacing Gen 2

It's a sound on a "cold" engine at startup. It sounds like a gasket leak on a cylinder....like a "puff, puff, puff". However, it goes away when the engine warms up. So if you go to test drive one and see that when you drive, that the engine is already warm, you might miss it. Make sure you...

Replaced radiator in my Explorer, what a PITA!

Have a 2007 explorer 4.6L EB edition. Had a rad leak (of course). Bought a rad from radiatorexpress.com. Cost me $157 shipped to the house in one day. If you're going to do this I would recommend buying either the Lissle tool...

Someone please tell me this isn't what I think it is. (pic)

I'm going to do perform the test this weekend. Looks like I have a leak somewhere but I am not sure where. I have purchased this vehicle new so I have not added any stop leak stuff to the cooling system. It could very possible be sand or dirt from the beach as we go to the Outer Banks, NC...

Never have to change the transmission oil? Fact or fiction???

For your plugs be careful and do some research. I did mine after watching a few videos on youtube. Check this one out, it's the best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsUdMbT0_oA There is a tool out there if you just do a little google searching on extracting broken ford plugs. I bought the...

Someone please tell me this isn't what I think it is. (pic)

When I sit at a drive thru with the AC on my temp gauge would rise and my AC would stop being cold. Turn of the AC and the temp goes back to normal. Thought to myself "Self, you need to check your coolant level, since you did a flush a couple of months ago." Get home go to check the level in...

feel like misfiring but not sure

Had the fuel filter changed about 6 months ago. I hope they actually changed it. I went ahead and changed the plugs and so far so good. Looks like it was the plugs. I also managed to get them out without any of them breaking. Check out this guys video and it saved me.

Does anyone have the Lisle tool that live in the DC Metro area?

Anyone have that tool that would be willing to let me borrow or rent or purchase from you? I want to do my plugs and I'm afraid to do them without buying that tool. I don't mind buying the tool but it will take a few days to get here and I don't think you can buy it local. Willing to throw...

    new EB owner here.

Thanks for the welcome. Not planning on modding it yet. However I would like to do a carputer in the future, just to say I did. Which I guess that's why some mods are done. Other than that not sure what else to do to it right now. That's why I am here to get some ideas.

    new EB owner here.

It's black with the brown EB accent. got 4x4 8cyl with everything except for the nav. I really liked that touch screen radio but couldn't justify that price let-alone afford it. I'm happy with it so far, all 20 miles that I've driven of it :) I love it when the vehicle is showroom clean...
