    Odd Problem

I doubt its a grounding problem, I have a 0 gauge grounded to the frame, going into a distribution block to my amps, i think its most likely the RCAs, they went straight down that wiring channel on the side.

    Odd Problem

For some reason, When I turn on my turn signal, I hear the clicking noise it makes cominf out of my speakers. I realize its some sort of interference, but I have no idea what it could be. I'm assuming from speaker wires being too close to basic system cables. Has anyone experienced this...

    We Have Impact!

Sorry for the lack of updates, Southern Georgia hasn't exactly had the best weather lately. It's better today, I'll try to get some pics up.

    We Have Impact!

I'm somewhat lacking in eliteness, I need to go find my cardomain account and do it that way. (grumble grumble grumble)

    We Have Impact!

Alas, my car was struck by another a couple of days ago. In a parking lot. Parked. I wasn't even in the vehicle, but she managed to do about $1300 in damage to the side of mine, requiring basically a lot of paint. The cool side of it is that I'm probably going to have the car changed...

Just Ordered 100 sq. Feet of Peel & Seal

I tried Home Depot, they had never even heard of the stuff. I don't have a Lowes around here, and I couldn't find it on either the Lowes website or the Home Depot website, so I had to use this alternative.

Just Ordered 100 sq. Feet of Peel & Seal

I bought it from an online store called ABC housing supply or something to that effect. It was $75 for everything.

Just Ordered 100 sq. Feet of Peel & Seal

Like the title says, I just ordered 100 sq. feet of the stuff, and plan on putting it in my car next weekend, provided it arrives on time. Would anyone be interested in pictures and a writeup of the process? I'd be more than happy to if it would help out any fellow members.

I used spray foam and it's better than Dynamat!

Hey, wow, I totally forgot, sorry guys. I've filled every pillar in the back, with the exception of the c pillar, of which I've only done the bottom half. The tailgate is progressing nicely, though I need to go pick up more foam to finish it off. I actually coated the walls behind the panels...

I used spray foam and it's better than Dynamat!

I will as soon as I gett he chance, but there are practically monsoons going on right now, so it might be a few days.

I used spray foam and it's better than Dynamat!

I started doing this anyway, I've done most of the back, including the pillars, but have yet to fill the hatch. Later todayn I plan on stripping the inside of my car and prepping for peel and seal, and additional foam on the other pillars of the car.

Forced air intake from CO2 Tank?

Prices aren't too unresonable, and tank sizes range from 45-114 ci. But considering the pressureof the tank, and the pressure required for the forced injection, I think that small tank would go a long way.

Forced air intake from CO2 Tank?

Has anyone here ever played paintball? If you have, you may know where I'm going with this. There are readily available tanks, with regulators, commonly availible for purchase, that can hold over 5000(not a typo) psi. Refillable at any paintball store worth it's salt for very little money...

Help me find a LOST AOL Password?

I suppose you could find a password cracker, let it run, and do it that way. Keep in mind, of course, not legal, and not suggested. Though AIM and AOL use the same passwords I believe, and for AIM, the security services from AOL aren't exactly top-notch. (They don't care.)

I used spray foam and it's better than Dynamat!

Very interested in doing this, but could you get some pics up? Did you fill the columns with it? If so how did you manage to do that?

    Noise! Oh the noise!

Ah, alright. Wasn't there a thread about grounding components in the engine compartment to reduce strain? Anyone know the link to that?

    Noise! Oh the noise!

No no no, the gain isnt set at 3/4, it is roughly at 1/2, but I set the gain with the head unit at 3/4 volume. I know I need new RCAs, can you suggest some for me?
  18. W

    Noise! Oh the noise!

I messed around with the gains, and at 3/4 volume set them to be relatively loud, and nearly all of the hiss is gone. Though some of my other wiring issues persist.

    Noise! Oh the noise!

I have a 0 gauge cable bolted directly to the frame, going through the floor into a distribution block with 4 gauge ground cables going to each amp. Not sure If it's too long, but I did my best. I have hissing at all volumes, much worse at lower ones, and my turn signal causes interference...

    Noise! Oh the noise!

What suggestions do you all have for reducing system noise? Such as where to run RCA cables and speaker wires and whatnot. I currently have my RCA Cables and speaker wire going down the right side of the car in the floor, in those wiring channels already installed, but I have horrible...

    Very large problem!

I just installed a kicker kx600.4 amp in my car, all the wiring appears to be correct, yet one speaker is not powered. The problem may lie in the rca cable, or amp itself, but the wiring to the speaker is correct. I don't know what could be wrong specifically, but I'm very frustrated, this amp...

    Box building question.

I'm building a ported box soonand I'd like to have the woofer in the center, with a tube port on either side of the box, as far away from the woofer as possible, located on top of the box. Would this work, or should I have the woofer on one side and both ports on the other, for best results?

    New Woofer and Amp!

Well, tomorrow I'm taking out the carpeting, cleaning the floor, and getting ready to build a new false floor of MDF, then drilling the holes for my new ground wires, and beginning work on my new box. Oh, fun it will be. Fun it will be indeed.

Can anyone host my pics for me? Otherwise I don't see them getting on here. Need to become Elite, I know, but I'm in school, and thus poor.

    New Woofer and Amp!

I actually just got everything installed finally. The amp works great, though not having a fan and all it does get a bit hot. This setup definitely does what I wanted, though I really need to change from a sealed box to a ported one with this woofer. Not to mention coating the entire interior in...

    Virtual Memory

Check for spyware before you do anything that actually costs you money. More often then not this will be the case, and it will have slowed your computer down significantly. Go to download.com and search for spybot- search and destroy. It's a free download, then before you scan make sure you...

Need Help! New Woofer not working correctly.

The power is 4 gauge, but the ground is 8 gauge. Yesterday I order 0 gauge ground cable, a distribution block, additional 4 gauge cable, and everything I need to use that to reground the entire system. I'm going to buy a 0 gauge power cable next and do that part of the system as well. I think...

Need Help! New Woofer not working correctly.

Actually, I just tested it out again, and it seems to be working much better, maybe it just needs to be broken in? Either way, its greatly improved. Thanks for the help, hopefully itll stay this way.

Need Help! New Woofer not working correctly.

I'm fairly certain that I wired it in parallel, the manual said it could possibly be a ground cable issue, do you think this is a possibility?

Need Help! New Woofer not working correctly.

I've just installed an audiobahn Aw1208T and a Hifonics Brutus 1500D. This, of course, should be very loud, however its significantly quieter than my previous setup, which was of a much lower wattage. Voltage is at 14.0, gain is set properly, bass boost is set properly, and all settings seem to...

    New Woofer and Amp!

I've just bought an Audiobahn Aw1208T Subwoofer and Hifonics Brutus 1500D Amplifier. I'm just really psyched about it, everything should be in next week, and I'll be sure to take pictures when I have it all installed.

    Overdrive light flashing!

Well, problem solved, it was a solenoid in the transmission system or something like that. I just had the transmission replaced about 20k miles ago, so it is still under warranty and the repair was free! So everything turned out alright.

Best SQ Woofer at 4 ohms?

I'm in the market for two new subwoofers, and each one needs to be 5-600 watts RMS, with an impedance of 4 ohms. I'm being rather specific because I already have the amp chosen. But to the question, what are some of the top woofers in terms of sound quality at 4 ohms in this power range...

    Still planning it out.

I'm debating over whether I should buy the Audipbahn 2401x amplifier. I realize it's an older model, but I have one that's new that I can choose to buy. it's similar to the 2401T, but just slightly older. Should I buy this one?
