i've been wheeling the bdos pretty hard for the past couple of months, it's been taking a serious beating and I finally broke something that is gonna slow me down for a while. so now i'm looking for the back half of a 1350 or a 1354 tcase, but in the meantime i'm going to take the...

got a little bit done on the 44, got the tube cut out of one of the c's and it's ready to go on, the other one is gonna be a little bit more work to get taken apart. Slow but steady wins the race I guess.

Free '84 Bronco II Been sitting for 15+ years. Help!

I'm not sure how I missed your thread, shirking my responsibilities. That thing is freaking sweet, makes me wish I had a closer to stock bII to run around in.

I have 1 ton steering that is over the knuckle with TRE's and it works pretty well, I think i'll just stick with that. My tie rod is above the axle centerline, I've landed on it a couple times and it just shrugs it off.

the 44 is cut down, I'm working on the inner c's now, i'll take some pics. I realize this is blasphemous but I bought my wife a 98 Jeep zj, i'm working on a 2" budget boost and 31's for her, so the dos had to take a backseat for a week. but yeah I need to play with my crawler more. I'm...

the ring gear and axle shafts, and probably the carrier. It's a pretty small axle, you might be OK for a while, but at some point you are going to blow it up with v8 power.
  14. janderson4010

    A low from Alberta

I think you might blow it up haha, 8.8 would be a significantly better option IMO

pretty lame I haven't done enough work on the Dos to warrant a post on my build thread but I do have a pile of parts on my bench that include all the pieces to build a custom width HP44 minus the axle shafts, and the locker. I did make some bad ass progress on my rock trail today thanks to some...

Only starts with starting fluid but will run on its own

you need to check fuel pressure on startup, it should prime the system to somewhere between 30-40psi when you turn the key to the on position
  21. janderson4010

Only starts with starting fluid but will run on its own

the first thing I would do is go pick up a fuel pressure tester, harbor freight has them for 29.99(make sure you get good thread sealant for the fittings) and check your fuel pressure when you turn the key on and when it is running. can you hear it prime the system when you turn the key on?

    Solved Inside the fm145 (pics)

I tore one apart once so I could cut the output shaft off for a doubler, but I don't remember anything about it. This is good info for someone who wants to rebuild one. did you buy a kit for bearings and stuff? what was the cost overall?

Getting Kaspers 1988 Bronco II back on the road

You would just have to disconnect all the electrcal and body mounts and lift the body off the frame, any reason you wouldnt put your drivetrain in the other truck? How much fabrication experience do yo have? The ranger should be pretty similar, but the cage will probably be to long, so it would...

    Bronco ii questions

No, I ran 31's at stock height but had to trim a little bit up front. You can negate the trimming by doing a 2" body lift. You can run 33's stock height if you trim the flare out of the front fender.

They flex really well , you can get them for cheap from any junkyard, pretty long in a BII but it could be done. I'll snap a few pics of the rig when I'm at the shop again.

    Bronco ii questions

Here are some pics of my shackle hangers. I don't have any pics of it at new ride height. I was about 2" of lift but I wanted more clearance at the frame. So I changed up that shackle mount in the rear and my front I have adjustable coil mounts, so I can lift my rig in 3/4" increments. Check out...

    Bronco ii questions

I run an explorer pack with the eye cut off and my broncoII main leaf on top, that and my shackle redesign got me 4" of lift and I score around 875 on a 30deg ramp.

Yeah wristed arms def flex more, but this is a 69 f100 long bed, its not a hardcore wheeler. More of a driver/mild wheeler.

This is the only pic I had on my phone, I must have deleted the others. After this we plated over the square from the joint of the two pieces of tube up to the stick radius arm piece so its all smooth, i'll try and get a finished pic so it makes more sense.

    Cali bronco II build

Dude have you ever pit a 203/205 in? It took 3 guys last time we did it. The 1356 is a stout unit man, you run the 1356 as the range box and the 205 is the back case, the behemoth and DD doubler kits both have cutouts for the twin stick. So are you gonna run the stock ford radius arms? I just...
