Check out these tie rod ends, they are fully rebuildable and can be tightened as they wear. They make the nicest rod ends out there. These ones have straight pins. http://www.emfrodends.com/category-s/1963.htm Your truck is looking really good too.

Post pictures of your truck with auxiliary lights

The green isn't as harsh as the white, especially on snow. Green is good for your night vision and much easier for your eyes to see than white or blue light and hi-vis signs and such show up better, plus it looks good on the truck lol. Here are some comparison shots.

Here's some more pics from the summer. The light covers doing their job, I love the green too. My girlfriend is getting pretty good on the saw, I love watching other people cut wood (I do most of it so I get to say that lol). My girlfriend's son getting some practice in with his saw. It...

The truck worked great for a week in the back country again. The new springs ride so much better, this truck loves to rally the back roads and tackle a little mud too. The before shot. Finally off the pavement. After a few hours on gravel we were at the trail head. Setting up camp. Yeah I...

I finally got around to installing the new leaf springs I've had sitting around since November, it looks so much better now. They should settle in nicely on the week long back country camping trip in S.W. Alberta and S.E. B.C. We leave on tomorrow. I was really surprised how easily most of the...

    Let's see your cargo baskets.

I have no complaints about the Rola rack I've had for a couple years now, I recently added the extension and 2 extra cross bars.

    2wd and 4wd Lifts.

Thank you OffTrac! The only way to increase the spring rate of a torsion bar is to get a bigger (diameter) or stiffer bar. The weight off the truck does not change so you are not changing the "effective" spring rate, I guess you could by limiting down travel with a limit strap and preloading...

    Roof Rack/Basket

I've had a Rola rack for a while now and really like it. http://www.rolaproducts.com/products/cargo-management/roof-top-carriers/roof-top-cargo-carrier/uHvTF2JB0IPH7rC9ZFU0Ao2tYHHpKlwx I recently added the extension and 2 new cross bars with 4 more mounts for the rack, it's also a very...

Just remember Explorer 8.8s are 3.25" diameter apposed to a rangers 2.80".

Is Anyone running a system w/o leaf springs in the back?

I recently got a brand new set of rear springs from Standens in Calgary for $155.00 per side and all related hard ware including u-bolts for a few more bucks. The springs and u-bolts are all manufactured in house and they even supply springs for a lot of the big lift kit companies. U-bolts...

    corrosion inhibitors without anti-freeze

Lots of race tracks will not let you run with "anti freeze", there's a few different products out there but I've always used Water Wetter.

Here's some more wheeling shots. This is the trail into our "secret" camping spot in the valley below the Continental divide. Exploring more trails north of the Crows Nest Pass. Another creek crossing where the bridge has been removed. This sure is a beautiful area to explore.

Project "Night Light" LED Light Bar mount build

It's looking good but remember triangles are your friend and where any strength will come from. It really needs an angled down bar and some gussets to keep the light from bouncing, that will be more annoying than light on the hood. I added another gusset to the pic I put to your other thread.

Just a little bragging I guess but Rigid Industries has shared used my "aerial" shot with all my lights on a few times. I gotta say I was pretty exited when I saw it. https://www.facebook.com/RigidIndustries/photos/pb.91709717378.-2207520000.1427741841./10152735778117379/?type=3&theater

So after almost 2 years both of my MSD coils shorted out and all I could source in a timely manner were 2 more MSD's, so I reluctantly went that route again. These ones better last more than 2 years but I'm not holding my breath. The MSD's are really nice when they are working but I think they...

Looks like I missed your reply while I was flooding my own thread. I think I may have answered your question in a later post but yes I have some amber lenses on order for the light bar and might try some on the "camp" lights too. I would like to try some blue lenses on the bar in the snow as...

A roof rack sure does simplify mounting aux lights, that's all mine holds 90% of the time lol. How do you like the maxtrax? I'm thinking the Smittybilt ones are going to be my next purchase.

I found a good hill to climb up next to this back road and got some pretty decent "aerial" shots of all the lights. All on. Just SR 30 and left side Dually diffused. Just SR 30.
  33. S

    99, 5.0 Limited.

I was finally able to get some good night time comparison shots. These are away from the city with only a little bit of moonlight. Stock low beams. The green was nice on the snow because it's not nearly as harsh as the white, it did take a minute to adjust once back on the highway though but...

I also mounted the SR 30 using Rigid's billet tube mounts. The mounts are really clean and the light is solid. This is when I added the extension to my Rola rack along with 2 more cross bars I picked up from the wrecker. I got some clear covers for some extra protection and some green ones to...

Then I picked this up and 2 more Dually diffused. Rigid SR 30" combo. You can see the flood optics on the end. I needed to build some more harness extensions and decided to pick up a Deutsch connector kit that came with a crimper, this will be nice to have around. Got some more covers as...
  36. S

    99, 5.0 Limited.

I needed to make some harness extensions so I ordered some 2 pin Deutsch connectors and borrowed a crimper from work. I built the extensions and covered them with some 3/8" asphalt loom. Once the extensions were secured it looked like this for a little while. This worked well for a bit but...

    99, 5.0 Limited.

I thought I should put up a bit about my Led light install in here. I first got a pair of Rigid Dually Diffused pods for camp lighting and 1 Dually spot. I put the spot up front with the plan of it being used as a reverse light once I got a 30" bar. The Quality really impressed me right out of...

    Roof Rack Mounting Help/Advice Needed

There is enough flex that it would rip the cab mounts off at the weakest point or do some damage. I did a quick sketch for you, I put bigger tube and triangulated the top and put a triangulated support from the top tube to the box rail as well a gusset at the bottom this should work as long...
