I used a hypertech chip because I have used them before on 2 other vehicles with good results (92 corvette LT-1 350 and 97 Suburban 454). The combination of the chip +KKM induction kit + flowmaster muffler turned my 94 XLT 4X4 into a completely new machine...much better seat of the pants...

KKM I added the KKM induction and Hypertech chip to my 94 XLT 4.0L OHV at the same time and it made a tremendous improvement in power and acceleration. Later I added flowmaster cat-back with little, if any, noticable gains.
