    coolant leak from top rear of engine

    I have a 98 Explorer V8... same sorta issue... gonna have to remove the transmission to get to the freeze plug. I think there are two, so while I'm back there, going to change both. Big PITA, but 150k and still going strong.. this won't hold me back.

    2006 Explorer V8 or 2007 or 2008 V6s

    In my research, I've found that many 2006 Explorers V6es have radiator problems by 40k. Seems like there is a design issue. And replacement radiators are on backorder?? So the problems seems pretty prevelent. How about the V8s? Anyone with 2006 Explorer V8s have radiator problems...

    How many miles do you have? 3 radiators... Im wondering when they fail and why the replacements don't work. I got problems with the stealerships... Would be curious what an honest mechanic would say about them.

    I'm looking at buying a 2006-07 or 08 explorer... Sounds like you guys would discourage that with the radiator problems... how many miles are on your exs? Just trying to get a feel for when they will fail, if it is, indeed, a design flaw. Better question, did they make any fixes in the 07 or...
