    The catalytic conveter is directly under the transmisson pan about 2" of clearance. The eddibauer exhaust systems on the V6 is different than the xlt's and other models.     We replaced the transmission in my 1998 ford explorer and somehow lost the the front exhuast pipe along with the catalytic converter. I had one installed at a local muffler shoop but, I think it is to close to the transmission pan. Any have a photo of how the front exhuast pipes are fitted ?
