Picked up a nice one but has a vibration on the gear shifter while driving if the rpms are less than 2200. It happens in all the gears. Payday, I'm going to change the plugs, wires, and filters. Is there anything else to look at that?

How do y'all fill up? I run the tank down to alittle less than 1/8, just above the red area. My normal mileage is 399-401 mile( town driving) and takes 22 gals but when I fill up, I fill all the way up to the gas cap. The filler tube must hold an extra 1.5 gals. Roger

Its about two hours west from Grand Jct. Co. Its a very nice and scenic drive once of the interstate.

Shouldn't be a problem installing it, but you should ask the muffler shop installing it just to be sure. Roger

Most Mufflers shops have a hydraulic pipe bender that also crimp or enlarge pipes. If you want 2.25 or 2.5 just ask the muffler man to see if he has the pipes in stock. Just don't go to large because you can loss backpressure(not a good thing). Roger

If you going to have a shop install the muffler then it don't really matter if the inlet/outlet is offset or not. The guys installing the pipes will make it work. Mine was offset (left) inlet and center outlet. With mine, there was one guy(the owner) that install a custom cat back. and it took...

I have 37,400 miles on it and it has 3.73 gears. The X is completely stock and I normally drive 62-65 on the Highway. Thanks for the replys, RogerL

Just bought a 99 XLT with 4.0 SOHC and getting 16.5-17mpg in town and 18.5 on a trip. I'm looking for reasonable price items and/or DIY projects to get to improve the fuel mileage. RogerL
