Help-Front End problem
Thanks tony, I'm assuming you mean the front wheel bearings. Does anyone have a way I can check to make sure before I do the work? Thanks again guys for any help.- climber211

Help-Front End problem
Guys I need some help. I travel for work and when driving the other day I notice loud noises from the front. He goes: In low gear range sounds like a ticking/scraping noise. transmission shifts up to the next gear and I hear the same thing. Seems to do the same up to about 50 MPH. Now...- climber211

How do I reset CEL
Went for smog today. CEL was on, but I knew I needed DPSE. Told Mechanic I would replace and return. he stated I had to take to Ford to get codes reset because diconnecting the battery would not work. Is this true? I always thought pulling bat cables reset the computer. I don;t want to pay...- climber211

dgibson, Thanks for the reply. After more investigation. I found out it is the DPSE sensor. Cost about 65..00 at autozone and is easy to replace. Thanks again.- climber211

I have a 96 XLT with 150,000. I noticed that between 50 and 70, GOING up a hill, the truck seems to lurch in and out of gear. I can;t be sure if it's slipping or not and trying to re-engage, but I know the tranny will down shift out of what I assume is the overdrive and I can make it up the...- climber211
