Went for smog today. CEL was on, but I knew I needed DPSE. Told Mechanic I would replace and return. he stated I had to take to Ford to get codes reset because diconnecting the battery would not work. Is this true? I always thought pulling bat cables reset the computer. I don;t want to pay...

dgibson, Thanks for the reply. After more investigation. I found out it is the DPSE sensor. Cost about 65..00 at autozone and is easy to replace. Thanks again.

Seems not to jump in and out of gear with the OD off but still does not seem smooth? Anybody have any ideas?
