Noisy Lifter --- Which product is best for this problem?
Chances are the chains and guides/tensioners all need to be replaced at the same time. 149k isn’t exactly low mileage.- Stevenmccall417

Intermittent clicking sound when turning right. Pop, wheel comes off…
Unless…just the wheel/rim itself fell off. That was probably whoever last removed the said tires fault.- Stevenmccall417

Wheel bearing/hub failure. At that year and mileage I would tell them your calling a lemon law specialist unless they repair damages. And your lucky it wasn’t at freeway speeds.- Stevenmccall417

Noisy Lifter --- Which product is best for this problem?
Sohc 4.0 has hydraulic adjusters. I guess one of yours could be failing. The roller could be failing. Or the cam lobe could be worn out. Could be relatively easy to replace on the drivers side.- Stevenmccall417

Noisy Lifter --- Which product is best for this problem?
U could always cover it with lukes oil treatment syrup. But. As a reminder…covering up issues instead of fixing them will usually bite u later. And usually when u least expect or need it. Like the middle of nowhere in 100degree summer.- Stevenmccall417

Noisy Lifter --- Which product is best for this problem?
Pretty sure the 4.0sohc doesn’t have lifters. Their more of a roller rocker. And their pretty easy to replace. Odds are it’s a chain or guide issue.- Stevenmccall417

Possible to start motor with transmission out?
4.0 sohc is notorious for failing timing chain guides. Some even at low miles. The front chain guide is somewhat easy or possible to fix without pulling the heavy motor. But 8-10 times it’s the rear guide. Design flaw. There’s even a possible failure of jack shaft chain guides or on some models...- Stevenmccall417

Starting a 4.0L SOHC without Transmission.
Reverse bands kinda suck. I’ve noticed people hate all these Ford servo, band trannys. But I find them quite heavy duty. They definitely hate old burnt or dirty fluid. Ruby red fluid is always king. But if you have disassembled as many of these a4ld or 5r55 trans as I have..u begin to understand...- Stevenmccall417
