I just have to say thank you to all for the help. I found and changed tranny with used one. $500.00 . Just had to use my old extension with balance and mount. Cost $80. For 10 quarts fluid and also changed filter and gasket. Took me 2 days completely on my own. Tranny feels strong..- Daniel72221

5rr55e. Have to manually shift from 1st to 2nd but going to drive rpms go up, have to push OD off,then it goes on to 3rd and 4th but then rpms go up then push OD again and it seems to settle out. Is this a specific OD problem that I could possibly fix even cheap. Any help out there?- Daniel72221

2000 5r55e Tranny's
2000 explorer XLS . 5r55e. Don't know what solenoids go to what. With ignition on not running one coil getting warm. Insulation 6 or so inches away I can see where insulation got hot got hard and cracked and now sits in fluid. Don't know if that itself is issue . Have to manually shift from 1st...- Daniel72221
