I just picked up a 97 4.0 2wd Ranger and the transmission is bad. The case of the trans has the numbers (P97gt-7006 BBR) I found a trans on CL from a 98 4.0 2wd with the case number (P97gt-7006 BAR) Whats the difference? Can I swap the BAR trans in for my BBR trans? It seems...

does anyone know what the best route would be for a daily driver firm stiff shifting c4 set up would be? you know like what bell housing would fit best and if theres drive shaft issues or anything? i know i want to use a gate shifter
