orange spots all over
That's definitely rail dust. Had it all the time on my GTI which was white. It's not just railroad track areas that you can get it, various things create small metal shards. Claybar will take it off though as previously mentioned. Will be a PITA on a truck this size though. Have a detail...- travishamockery

Radar detector tips/ suggestions?
I have one too. I'm pretty sure it's $400 new and only sold by Valentine 1. That being said, you can find them used now and then on forums for $300. I love mine, have power tapped from the rear mirror using an adapter.- travishamockery

Mounting / Wiring Radar Detector
Thanks so much both of you. Typical of me to over think things. I was assuming you just use a free port in there. I plugged them right in and everything is working. So happy to have the Valentine 1 going again!- travishamockery

I'm trying to figure out, with no luck still since I'm without the multimeter, which of the unused ones are 12v and ground. anyone who has used this connection, can you post a pic to show...- travishamockery

Mounting / Wiring Radar Detector
Awesome, thanks so much, I really appreciate the help! *edit* damn, it doesn't show which are ground and which are 12+. Guess I'll have to go steal my multimeter back. I do see what they mean about the connector being tight. They will fit though, just had to pull the casing down a bit and...- travishamockery
