    Help Seat adjuster broke!

Well the handle that adjust the back of my seat broke the other day. I guess from pressure of people leaning on it going in and out of the vehicle. The metal actually snapped. It's the lever on the driver's side seat which adjusts the angle of the seat back. Now do I need a new seat or...

    Turbo Explorer????????

I agree. In theory turbocharging is easy but there are alot of costs that people don't think about. Things add up quickly, especially if you want it done right.

    Turbo Explorer????????

There is a big difference in the amount of heat produced by a turbo and a supercharger. Also sizing does matter. 25psi is not 25psi. You have to consider cfm as well. Put it this way. A stock mitsubishi eclipse tend to run high boost. Somewhere close to 15 psi stock. So you're saying if...

    Turbo Explorer????????

I'm guessing that it wasn't a 2JZ then. But that is true. With most turbo cars you'll find an 8:1 compression. Mitsu are good cars just BAD transmissions. You can modify and get really good power from them just don't plan on your transmission lasting.

    Turbo Explorer????????

Yea movie was crap... Actually are you talking about Super Street's 240sx? I've been out of it for about a year or so now though.

    12 second explorer

An intank and an inline pump? Just curious why you went with that setup. If the inline flows more than the intank...well the intank is just spinning for no reason plus if is slower it will actually bog up your fuel system. One thing that is nice about a supercharger...you don't have to...

    12 second explorer

You do lose 1-2 psi in boost pressure when running an intercooler but it is worth it. By no means does an intercooler give you more power but it allows you to boost higher safer. So if you ran a 13 lb pulley you would prob see 11 to the manifold. But its a nice dense 11 lbs. Plus it's...

    12 second explorer

Ah so you're using the powerdyne. Instead of water injection why don't your try either a front or top mount intercooler. Oh btw where did you get the 11 lb pulley?

    12 second explorer

PUR PONY- Thanks for the reply. I have a bad habit of putting forced induction and every car that I've owned. I got the X to be my beater car but well yea that's not going to last. I was looking at the Powerdyne kit. The only reason being that the way it is configured I could...

    12 second explorer

I have a question. What did he do to his transmission? One reason I have not touched my EX is that most factory auto transmissions don't hold up well to increased power. I have a 97 V8....i think the older model since I have a cone not flat filter. I'm not familiar with the EX engine and...

which intake should i get KKM or MAC

Power loss to heat soak is minimal. The air is moving so fast through the piping that it does not have time to heat up. All the piping in 3 of my turbocharged cars were aluminum, before and after the intercooler. Heat soak is minimal.

    Another Electric turbo on e-bay

I remember in the Rx7 forums someone posted that the inline electric "turbo" was actually a bilge(spelling) pump that they use for boats. I wonder if people actually get suckered and but that junk.

    In need of alarm recommendations

Agreed. That is for the average theif. But my show car was stolen cuz if they want it....well they want it. Oh the theives were nice enough though. They left my club and alarms on the driverside floor for me :D .

    Turbo Explorer????????

Another draw back to a turbo is that I have seen so many kids blow their motors by upping the boost. On a turbo charged motor it is so easy to just up the boost but people for get more air and not enough fuel POP!

    In need of alarm recommendations

In all honesty an alarm is just a visual deterent. Its a flashing light. My show car was stolen and it had three seperate alarms which included Hofco's anti carjacking device. If a professional wants your car they'll just tow it. No alarm can prevent that. Who actually pays attention to...

how's the E2 exhaust? I don't want too loud...been there done that on my other cars. I don't want it to drown out the DVD player either.

    Turbo Explorer????????

Here's my input regarding turbo charging. You will spend a lot more on the turbo than a Supercharger. My background is a 94 Rx-7 which is twin sequential stock which I changed to a single T04S. I also owned a 91 240sx which I put a motor brought in from Japan which has a T25 turbo stock...

    Will this tire size fit?

I was just curios if it would fit. Wanted to make sure on the stock rims that it wasn't too wide or cause any problems. I found that tire size on the E2 site. Just wondering if anyone has tried that size yet.

Craftsman wrenches vs. Husky - which are better?

I like Craftsman not only because they are great tools but also for the convinience. I agree wioth aldive that Snap On are the best...maybe Mac also...but with Craftman you just have to go to your local Sears. Hell, you use a screwdriver as a prybar and break it in half....go to Sears and...

Is it worth it to dish out for a V8 over the V6?

I appreciate all the feedback. I'm really looking forward to this purchase. Trust me....SUV, no wories about speedbumps, potholes, smaller cars, visability...it's great. I also now will have room for paintball which I do every weekend. The sports car thing was fun but it cost me so much in...

Is it worth it to dish out for a V8 over the V6?

Well.....it's a very newb question but a serious one for me. I've just made the decision to move on to an SUV. My last car which was stolen, a 3rd generation Rx-7 was highly modified and a big pain in the butt. Though she will be missed it's time to move on to something with a little more...
