Replacing a 4.0 with a 302?
I was wondering how hard it would be to put a 302 with an automatic in my '02 XLT? I'm sure it's probably been done and I was wondering how hard it is to get things to bolt up and what kind of transfer case to use and any other modifications? I think it'd be a nice swap....any suggestions...- Fazer

Here is a picture of the plastic 1/4" by approx. 4" long shaft that came with the timing chain tensioner upgrade kit (left side head) for a '98 XLT 4.0 SOHC engine. Does this go in the oil galley? and if so, what does it do? Thanks. http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm169/fazer_1/Picture.jpg- Fazer

Where does this plastic part go? I am rebuilding the 4.0 SOHC out of my '98 XLT Limited and I am installing a new tensioner kit on the left head. This kit came with a plastic shaft type of part that is about 4" or so long and tapered on both ends. Does anyone know where this new part goes...- Fazer
