    keyless entry solved the number i found for keyless entry code, was right one, HOWEVER, the number 9 looks like the number 8, so i tried 9 in place of 8 and POW, its working.

    96 Explorer keyless entry.

    Just got a 1996 explorer yesterday. Found the code for the keyless entry in the back compartment, but it does not work. the number panel lights up and interior lights but code does nothing. Any ideas and or help wouold be greatly appreciated
