2006 explorer radiator
Yep radiator is bad. lasted 2 yrs and 18000 miles. Service said $1000 for ford radiator or $800 for aftermarket. same radiator. asked why should i have to pay for bad ford parts, and of course no answer. used the ford will pay 80% and i pay 20% since the explorer has 60000 and this only good...- 99 zee71

Well I started this messy topic just over 2 years ago and guess what I found on my driveway when we got home to day? Thats right a leak under the pass. side of the radiator. Just turned 60,000 miles. So @ 20,000 miles and just over 2 years, Fords allegedly new and improved radiator is...- 99 zee71

Want to try E85
a friend put e85 in his truck. drove his wifes car for 2 days, when he went to drive his truck he lost amost a 1/4 tank. asked his buddy who is a mechanic and said he lost it because of alcohol evaporation. so if you buy it you better use it. :thumbdwn::thumbdwn::eek:- 99 zee71

4.0 mine is the 4.0 motor. i'm going try to support the radiator some more by alum. straps. the people i talked to @ radiator shop said its from lack of support.- 99 zee71

update dealer called today and said no radiators to be found. will take ford over a week to get one. sounds fishy to me, like ford has a problem. :eek:- 99 zee71

leak in rad. @ 40000 miles. took 2 dealer last monday. they just got done fixing one w/ same problem. they sent it to rad. shop to see if they could fix. that shop is a friend of family and he says that it is from of lack of support. dealer said it was gasket between plastic part of rad. and...- 99 zee71
