New to ford/Lincoln family. Recently purchased a 2004 Aviator 2wd base. 170,000 miles.
So upon initial visual inspection found a 02 sensor plug up stream before the cat that was half melted. Unplugged it and seem to run better but like it was still being muffled like a plugged cat. So removed 02 sensor completely. Drove 2 miles around and turned it off then repeated this 5 times...- JustaLincoln 04

Trouble codes cel flashing all codes came at once
All of a sudden my 04 aviator started running like **** . Surging or jerking . Lack of power pulled codes. No cel before . Just all at once codes are p 128 p303 p316 p705. What could make all these happen at once?- JustaLincoln 04

All of a sudden I get codes p128 p303 p316 p 705 all at once . No cel before This and cel is flashing. Could this all be 1 problem . I know what the codes mean . But to get all at once?- JustaLincoln 04

New to ford/Lincoln family. Recently purchased a 2004 Aviator 2wd base. 170,000 miles.
While fixing a frayed wire on the harness coming from alt going around pass side of engine, right between the air handler box and valve cover, where the harness passes, is a 2 pin plug. With maybe 4" of wire off harness . I looked all I could last night . About to search again . Any thoughts...- JustaLincoln 04

I Your right. Just dont have the extra cash right now. Is there an updated timing chain kit with a better quality tensioner and slides keway ect?- JustaLincoln 04

So all in all it's a decent ride, minus the gas mileage. Has the rattle at cold start, but once warm it smooths out. Helps to turnover a few times with the gas on the floor before I let it start. Pretty sure it's front pass timing tensioners and or slides and gides. Just started binding and...- JustaLincoln 04
