A/C Recharging
Joker, If you go to any shop that does AC work they should be more than happy to hook your Ex up and suck out the R-12 for free if you let them keep the R-12 (provided you have some still in there!! ha) Not sure how much R-12 cost now but if they get atleast 2 lbs out that should be plenty...- estan

AutoZone Bosch O2 sensors, Anyone with problems w/these?
BBQ, I don't know about getting OEM O2's from somewhere else other than a Dealer. But my Dealer wanted 138.00 each vs. 48.00 each at AutoZone- estan

'91 Intake manifold leak. common?
I had the same water leak on my 93 EX. but only mine was in the back pass. side of the intake gasket. The gasket got a crack right at the corner and was letting water seep out at a fast drip when it go hot and built up pressure. Yes you can take the whole upper and lower intake off together...- estan

same here.... $4.55 at Advanced Autos First time usuing it and I am having problems right now with bad O2 sensors causing a ruff idle and this stuff smoothed it right out even before I replaced the bad O2's!! great stuff!!- estan

AutoZone Bosch O2 sensors, Anyone with problems w/these?
I did nothing prior to swapping the O2's. I could smell they were bad, getting CEL on and off so I did a Code scan and replaced them. They never did seem right to start with...still had bad exhaust smell and bad MPG. 2 weeks later CEL again and code 172. I got 2 new ones from Autozone...- estan

AutoZone Bosch O2 sensors, Anyone with problems w/these?
I installed 2 new Bosch O2 sensors 2 weeks ago from Autozone. Now I am getting code 172 ... O2 fault/lean. Has anyone bought these O2 sensors and had problems with them right after buying them? Thanks, Scott- estan

93 ex with NO EGR or DPFE ??
I am getting a 172 code from the continuous memory that says: HEGO (HO2S) sensor fault/lean. I just replaced the O2 sensors 2 weeks ago with Bosch ones from AutoZone. Has anyone bought these and had problems with them from the start? I bought a same set of O2's 9 yrs ago and did good? Thanks- estan

adjust your TPS (another free hp mod)
My 93 ex TPS was at .90 to start. I loosened the screws and and moved it arond till I got it to show .96 on the nose. All I noticed this mod did was raised my idle from 800 rpms to 1000rpms ?? Maybe, a little better throttle response! just my 2 cents.- estan

no egr Yes my 93 had r-12 for the AC and I have owned it from new. From what I have read the EGR is pretty noticable on the right side and I do not have one. I put headers on 9 yrs ago and it has a place for an EGR but it has a bolt in it for a block off. When I took the headers off there...- estan

AC exchange I swapped out my 93 Ex 2 months ago with r134 and is doing great, just had the 12 removed and put in the 3 cans that came with the kit, works great. I also replaced my wifes Honda prelude about 5 yrs ago with r134 and still blowing colder than ever, I did blow out all the oil on...- estan

gas gauge problems
gas guage My 93 has had the saem problem, I dropped the tank and it had a metal float that was full of gas. I replaced it with a used one (bad choice) and worked for 2 weeks, then read empty again all the time. Seems the metal floats are junk. Anybody know of a better replacement??- estan

no egr Any Idea's?? Started it up this morning, same thing.... idle jumps up and down, up and down from 700 to 1000. But my 93 is not equiped with an EGR? Thanks- estan

Hello All, I have read as many threads as I could find about the EGR and DPFE. From what I have read it seems that 93 was the first yr. they put the EGR and DPFE in the explorers. I have all the symptoms and the 332 code for bad EGR, but I have no EGR and DPFE!! Does anyone know if maybe...- estan
