    Mine did the same thing, I just put in an aftermarket one. And the hose sounds like a breather hose.

    If you mean the one inside the spindal I used a bent punch and it came out, and it is easer to take the spindal of the nukel to do this.

    I am runnig 33's BFG's allterains on my explorer and have had no problems in the snow or even the snow banks that I play in.

    I have f150 coils in mine witch is about 3 1/2 inches and have no problems on or off the road

    I had that problem on my 91 and all I did was bent out the prongs on the conecters on the plugs on the back of the gage cluster
