Yeah I guess you could get a similar issue from a bad torque converter. Everything I've read leads me to believe it's a valve body gasket. I guess I'm just hoping that's lol it is too. Truck has 206K on it so you never really know.- Danny Jimenez

Sorry if this is already a post but I couldn't find one. I'm fairly confident the valve body gasket on my 5.0 AWD tranny is bad but I cant seen to figure out if I have a 5R55E or a 4R70W. Is there a way to check using the Vin or do certain tranny's ONLY come in certain years and sub models? The...- Danny Jimenez
