    Gee, that's confusing GreenMonster.. Sounds to me like you have lock actuator problems. I'd call the dealer and ask them for a price..ebay usually doesn't have many of those available. My fix is for the little spring in the latch assembly, which is still working, going on two weeks now...

    Just bought a 1997 Eddie Bauer and find that there is a lot of noise coming from the front, driver's side tire area. Starts as soon as I put it into gear, diminishes a bit at freeway speed. Sounded to me like a wheel bearing, but my mechanic put a new one in today and it made no difference...
