Transmission???
Had this happen to my 97 Explorer, and I would disconnect the battery and it would be fine for awhile and start blinking again. I beleive the problem was a Torgue Convertor Soleniod Switch on the top of the transmission. I beleive the part costs about $100.00. This was 1 year ago. After...- ESKYMOPACK

I've got the same vehicle, and found out an easier and better way to do it. 1st, buy the 4 pin adapter for your vehicle with the round plug (towing package about $15.00) and pull off your driver's side taillight assembly. My 99 merc. leans to the drivers front any ideas?
My 97 Explorer leaned more than an inch on the drivers side, so I went to the local library and took the Chilton book out at adjusted the torsion bar, rotated tires and she goes straight and level down the road!- ESKYMOPACK

Knocking??!!!
Don't forget to check the donut-gasket or any leak on your exhaust manifold or a bad engine mount. Your exhaust system will rap up against the frame under hi-torque if the mount is bad.- ESKYMOPACK
