Hey guys I am starting to build a dana 44 for sas project on my 93 exploder. I was inspecting the housing and found this, which to my knowledge makes this housing no good...

Does any one know the flow rate and or pressure of the stock powersteering pump on a 93 explorer automatic 4x4. Also does any know if it might be possible to hook up a signaw "P" style power steering pump to an explorer............

hey guys thanks for all the help but i got so more questions for ya. 1) Are there any advantages of running 8 bolt setup and also i have read you can switch this out by replacing the knuckle with the halfton version 5 bolt, rotos, hubs, spindles ...... 2) So I can run any dana 44 shaft...

Just to let you guys know the 79 f250 dana 44 is a little different acorrding to the guys at pirate4x4; the differential housing is also stronger

I have a dana 44 HD high pinion RC from a 79 f250 any thoughts on this axle good or bad like to hear it all in comparison to other dana 44s. This axle is planned to go on my 93X

I am currently experiencing the same thing but mine occured after hydrolocking my engine cant be good though what ever it is .....

the axle will handle for a few months but this summer its going solid(Dana 44)

I got some 5.13 gears now I cant decide whether to go with super swamper 38s or 39.5s any ideas

I have 93 ford explorer 4x4 with axle code D4; I am trying to buy gears for the 8.8 and cant figure out if i have a 28 or 31 spline for the correct notched cross shaft, without ripping open the diff.....any help would be great guys...........

I dont know it will be hard to let this chevy setup go because its naturally aspirated and a 8000 rpm it pumps out 608hp and 532flb of torque. back to research........
