    1996 Explorer Reverse issues

    I went out to make sure the 4x4 worked. Next day my reverse wouldnt work in 2 wheel drive, it makes a loud winding sound. When i put it in 4x4 reverse works fine. While in 2 wheel drive the winding sound comes back when it down shifts from 3rd to 2nd, when you give it a little gas it goes away...
