I would definately do the exhaust system first. I do believe that the 4.0L with no internal modifications needs a little back pressure so I would go for a Single Exhaust with a dual outlet if that's what you like.

Wouldn't some bad stuff happen if you pulled the plug on a couple of injectors? That just seems like you would need to pull the gas plug to injectors and spark plugs to get rid of the compression wouldn't you? Plus, that would just make it a 4 cyl (or 6 cyl for v-8s), and, how bad would it be...
