Rebuilt Or Remanufactured?
Although it can make a person cringe to have to pay for the remanufactured engine that seems to have more potential to be more reliable and last longer than the rebuild. A 3-year or 36,000 mile warranty is also a plus compared to 3 months. There's always the possibility with the rebuilt...- BMXplorer

1969 Ford F-100 Prerunner
So I got a new quicktime version installed and saw the video of the truck. Cool to hear the engine rumbling and see it in motion after studying the photographs of it in Dirtsports magazine. Seeing people scrub tire marks off a white floor isn't the most exciting thing to watch (don't know...- BMXplorer

This forum needs some excitement!! DB_1's Ranger SAS rebuild
Dave, Your idea with the gusset connecting the tabs with the frame sounds good. The more I think about the idea I posted above, the possibility of it folding or fracturing around the bend area seems greater. That tab idea I posted would probably require a gusset (like your idea) on the...- BMXplorer

This forum needs some excitement!! DB_1's Ranger SAS rebuild
Dave, Here's an idea for the tabs that you're working on for your track bar: I made the two tabs look similar to the ones you have mocked up and drew up the top plate which could be welded to the two tabs and frame. Since you mentioned connecting the tabs to the frame I put a...- BMXplorer

Here's an update. I welded some caps on the open ends of a few tubes, and painted the tube bumper. The crossmember that I mentioned I was working on in some other post turned out to be a succesful idea and not a fancy looking paperweight. The X crossmember supports the tube bumper and...- BMXplorer

RangerX gets a real front bumper.
RangerX, Your winch mount and tube bumper look sick, very clean. Couple of questions on the winch mount plate, since I'm curious. Noticed the winch mount plate appears to be around 1/4" thick, and is bent to create flages around the perimeter of the plate. Do you know if the flanges on...- BMXplorer

Homemade front bumpers - weld-on or bolt-on?
RangerX, This reply only half completes your request since this bumper isn't being built with a winch in mind. I've been working on this Prerunner bumper and some have seen it at Truckhaven. The bumper's still in progress. Hey Jason94sport, As far as welding the spring perch on top of the rear axle, for some you can do that, but the ones Superlift makes don't need to be welded on. Is 12 ton bender strong enough for sliders?
I'm not trying to be a thorn in anyone's side, but I thought I would clarify this (mandrel bender) topic.
