I did the same thing on my '99 XLT about 5-6 months ago. It looked cool for a while, but eventually i decided to take it off. I even put it in the middle for a few days, but again, didn't really like it. I think the grill looks better without one. Give it a few days......the decide.

That's great, thanks alot! I i'm going to keep the 5.0 t-case and have it AWD......i kind of wanted that anyway. I'll probably just take out the bulbs from the dash. One more thing, if i take out the front driveshaft, do i get 100% power to the rear wheels? Thanks for the help everyone!

I plan to use the truck as a dialy driver and for street performance. But i still don't know what to do, or even if the old t-case bolts up to the new tranny.

I don't think that the V8 are all wheel drive as some members have 2 wheels drive V8's, such as james t. But if this is true then what can i do? Can i use my old t-case and 4r70w tranny? Or should i drop the t-case and make it into 2wd? (don't know how the computer would react)
