    Well, got it bench checked. The starter is good and strong. Other ideas?

    Hmm, I will pull it off and take it for a bench check. All I heard was it whirring, definitely no crank.

    Went and checked it again today. Turned key fwd and heard click and short whir sound from about where the fuel pump is. I was on my own, so had to stand by the door and listen. I checked the inertia sw. and it is not tripped. Still will not try to crank. -B

    Thanks for the welcome! It has been 2 days since I messed with it, but I do not believe I heard it kick in. I heard clicking from relays, but that was about it. I will drive out there tomorrow early and recheck to be sure though. -B

    If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate it. My explorer is stuck at the house I was renting because I can't afford to tow it till the 1st. I could really use some advice or a pointing in the right direction. -B
