Front Wheel Bearing Freeplay
the 4wd is usually a easy fix. I just fixed my 94. The servo motor would not sork right, it was just the overtravel bushing in the motor head assy was worn, and I replaced the automatic hubs with Warn lockouts. Everything works nice now. My front bearings had a lot of free play too, when I...- jeffdoerr

Transfer case not staying engaged
I can't believe how stubborn I am. After swapping in a few used motors, cutting and splicing in a new style motor, re-cutting and splicing my old motor, I finally followed the directions a little better (well, I read them) Oh, yeah. I forgot about swapping the 4wd computer a few times, and...- jeffdoerr

How come we cant get this one???
#1 With my experiences with diesel engines, although they do cost more, they are lower maintenance, last much longer and get great mileage. So whats to lose ? #2 You can leave the thing idleing in the severe cold with NO damage to the motor and no danger of carbon monooxide poisioning. #3...- jeffdoerr

How come we cant get this one???
I found this page for Ford Phillipines. They offer a TURBO diesel 4 door 4x4 over there, but not here. We just get the over priced sport-trac. http://www.ford.com.ph/ranger/rangmodel-frm.htm- jeffdoerr

Where is the blend Door
if you pull all the crap off the oposite side, under the hood, it can be changed without pulling the dash apart. I just did mide last fall. Its tight, but only took a few hours and a scraped knuckle- jeffdoerr

I gota 94 and i cant keep my transfer case engaged. The dash lights wont stay on, in fact, I only say them flash once, ever. I can get me xfer case to stay engaged for a minute or so, then it kicks back out. I already replaced the servo motor and the 4wd computer. Any ideas ?- jeffdoerr

Transfer case not staying engaged
I just got a pretty 94 STX 4.0 Automatic 4x4 with electric shift. I knew the 4wd didn't work when I bought it, thinking it was either the little motor onthe transfer case or the 4wd computer. Well, I have changed both and still no luck. I can get the transfercase to kick in for a minute...- jeffdoerr

93 xlt heats/cools rapidly??
My 94 STX does the same thing. I got 110k on it, it heats up fairly quick, then drops normal for a few miles, then back to the heat gauge roller coaster.- jeffdoerr
