2003 explorer XLT grey smoke from exhaust?
whoo hoo! it was the pcv valve! I went to pick up the part at car quest for 7 bucks! Took off the pcv hose on drivers side of manifold, removed pvc valve from the block with pliers, and there it was! I Had to use pliers and a small mirror to look behind the manifold so I could twist it off...- raygil321

2003 explorer XLT grey smoke from exhaust? my 2003 explorer XLT is throwing out grey smoke. Could it be a stuck PCV valve causing oil to be push out the exhaust? mechanic said very likely. there is oil residue on the tailpipe as well. really need help on this one.- raygil321
