Oops. Please delete

There are several things that need improved in sync 3 (especially on the vertical screen). So far after going through the complicated process of keeping updates current I haven't seen much (if any) improvement. Your experience may vary.

Downloaded and updated my 2020 today. No problems until I tried to re-pair my Samsung S22. After attempting many different things I gave up and performed a hard reset. After that everything was fine again. Seems like Ford's software is a little buggy most times. Shows 3.4 Build 22200 now.

I had mine replaced for that in my 2020. They became sharp and were painful to use.

I got a message saying an update was available (I had 2.20). I downloaded and updated. It now shows 2.21.

Not sure of the build date, but I bought it in Oct 2019 so it had to have an early date.

I sure would like to replace my 10.1 vertical with the landscape also. Amazing to me what a downgrade the larger screen is! Shame on Ford for not addressing this.

Cameras work fine, except for 1 time a couple of weeks ago I got a blue screen.

Strange warning. Anyone know what this means? Nav acted strange on trip last week. It didn't know where I was. Also had aparking assist error come up. All this since having the car in for camera recall. Oh yea, I got my first ever blue screen after the recall??

I've found that the black blanket does a great job and is much easier to "install" than the factory cover I had in my 2015 Explorer.

Well I took mine in for service last week. Had never had any camera issues. After the recall was done I have started getting intermittent blue screens. Great fix Ford!

Yep, the guy from Autostartstop Eliminator informed me that the latest flash disables the device. He told me I would just need to unplug it for a couple of minutes and it would reset and start working properly again. I'm going to try that later today.

I installed the A.S.S. Eliminator a couple of years ago and it has worked great up until yesterday when it started returning to the on position after restart. Curiously this just began after just getting my car back from being serviced at the local Ford dealer?? I will investigate tomorrow and...

A shame that the smaller screen would be an upgrade, considering the size of the android auto on the 10.1. My sister in law has the small screen and it is a lot easier to use than mine.

If you search you can also find discount codes for the Autostop Eliminator. I hate autostop and the eliminator was one of the first things I added to my Explorer, I love having it.

Someone suggested on another thread that it may be setup that way to prevent being locked out. I checked and they were right, all it took was to hit the unlock button and the liftgate worked fine. :oops:

Wow, just had to go out and check this out. Thanks Pnewby it appears that is the answer "It is trying to prevent a lockout". Closes fine if I hit the unlock button first! A little embarrassed that I made such an issue of it now.

Well just got back from the dealer with the new liftgate module installed. Checked out the operation. Waste of time, same problems still exist. Not sure what to do at this point??

This is exactly what I have found. Opening and closing the drivers door eliminates/corrects the closing of the liftgate. Crazy but true.

Had mine in for first service last week. Dealer just ordered a rear deflector and attachment parts for me. I rarely use the feature to open the tailgate with my foot, but when I do it get's it right the first time about 70% of the time.

I noticed mine disappeared for a short time, then re-appeared??

I have found that mine will always open with the dash button, but at times it will not close with it unless I open and close the driver's door! :banghead:

I always change mine at 6000 miles with no problems.

I have the tech package on my platinum and I would gladly give it up to be rid of the vertical screen. The only advantage I see with the vertical screen is if you are using the Ford Nav. Everything else on the screen is a downgrade. I compared it with my sister in laws stripped down 2020...

You don't want the 10" vertical screen. It is a step backward!

My auto start stop eliminator is supposed to be here tomorrow. Can't wait to install it. This is the most frustrating thing I have ever encountered on a car in my lifetime!
