Bullbar for 2nd Gen...
those do look pretty sweet. but if you look at the winch mount, you can see that the metal isnt very thick. i doubt that would take a very hard hit. it would definately deal one to a cow though.- greengeeker

the saleen x i remember, when i worked at a ford dealership, may have had the old badging on it . if you want to know whether he really has a saleen check out the interior. they had a lot of saleen inside, like tutone saleen leather seats, and a lot of carbon fiber. the ones i am think of...- greengeeker

New F-150 Lightning
its crazy that they can come out with a lightning each time that i like much, much more than the previous. or maybe it is just the idea of running around town in a 500 hp truck! a 500 hp x would be even more impressive.- greengeeker

Lookin for 2 10" subs and an amp Ideas
my brother has 2 mtx tens powered by a 1000 amp. it sounds pretty sweet. it has it parked in his f150 in a sealed box. i think it depends on what you listen to. if you do rap, buy a really expensive sub and mediocre others. if you like rock, then the sub isnt as important. but i guess if...- greengeeker

Suspension characteristics?
Could someone help me out with the different suspensions: how they handle off-road, and how they handle on road, and which one in your opinion is the best compromise between the two. The different types I know of are: 3 link, 5 link, leaf-sprung (and it's variations:1/4 elliptical etc)...- greengeeker

Straight Axel Swap
this question is kinda aimed at rick...or anyone else with a straight front axel x. would it be easier to start with a 2wd truck vs. a 4wd if you were planning on switching out the transfer case anyway?- greengeeker

Dodge does it again!!
personally, i think the sweetest sounding exhaust comes from a ferrari. no, it may not be "throaty" but you are definately going to hear it when it is pulling in front of you. same goes for the viper. yes, ford has played catch up in the past (how else can you explain the excursion?) but who...- greengeeker

The Diesel Explorer
you beat me to it jon. as for the european rangers, i don't think many off-roaders here wouldnt like it. it is pretty narrow, and taller than our rangers= nasty center of gravity. i would love to drop a 7.3 in my x, but it would probably be easier to just transplant my body to a shortened...- greengeeker

Check this out - a V10 Mustang
Keep in mind that he has literally no more room under that hood. I don't think you co if you read into the specs, the supercharger is integrated to the intake. it actually "blows" the air upward. strange design, but it fits...with a cowl. the real question is: could this be done with an x?- greengeeker

22" chrome wheels
air filled tires on those? they're probably solid rubber and all you do is glue on new ones. one good thing: you wouldnt have to balence 1/2 thick tires.- greengeeker

SC 5.4 Lightning v8. i would find it fun to bs with some guy at the gas station (would be there often) and convincing him that it is stock and can be found at the local dealer.- greengeeker

Straight Front Axel
yeah, you're right. rangers never had straight axels. but he asked about BRONCOS. as for the years. i believe the early broncos(1966-1977) are the only ones that qualify. there are also several kits that you can buy to aid in the installation. i know there is a post on the site that...- greengeeker

my friend had glass front fenders until he got into a little accident. yeah, they didnt have a spot on them but the mounts were shredded. he could've re-fiberglassed, but opted to put metal back on.- greengeeker

Torn
they drive like pigs. my mom has the same exact truck as you and i've driven it plenty. taking a trip i was forced to rent, so i chose the '99 expedition with the big 8 thinking it would haul. just the opposite. sloshy in cornering, excellerating, and braking...just too big of a truck. i...- greengeeker

amp hookup help needed
i just poked around then internet a little and i think it would be better to go with 4. you could check out www.crutchfield.com or call 1-888-955-6000. you may be on hold for a while though. best buy usually has someone in their store that would know. anyway, good luck.- greengeeker

amp hookup help needed
i've hooked up several on one of the rear speaker outputs(l or r), directly after the deck. you could attach after the stock amp, but the sound wont be as clean. it isnt going to sound as good as RCA's but a hellova lot better than no sub at all. couldn't say with certainty whether the gauge...- greengeeker

Plate speakers
i think for the best sound, it would be better to stay with the door mounts. i remember reading somewhere that the difference between the kick panels and your rear speakers produces a barely noticable echo effect. all the speakers are hitting at the same time, but it takes longer for the sound...- greengeeker

Straight Axle Conversion
i didnt mean that the TTB setup is junk, i think it is great. my explorer is a salvage vehicle(the only reason i could afford a 2001) and the front end is shot. since i have to replace most components, i was thinking why not go straight axel?- greengeeker

Straight Axle Conversion
sucks to be poor. agree with you on that one. i have an idea, sounds kinda crazy: would the straight axel setup on an early bronco work for a swap? my entire sus is junk as of now and i have access to an entire setup. would be a heck of a lot cheaper than 3k, but would it work? thanks for...- greengeeker
