I didn't get the d/s done yet....I called around for prices.....I ended up taking all the stuff off that night cuz I couldn't take a chance messin anything up.....being my only transportation besides the Harley!!! I used the stock shackles.....the warriors would have been way too muck!!!- XPLORIN

the rear I probably got anout 6-7 inches.....but the leaves would have settled.....so probably would have been 5-6!!- XPLORIN

the front....I turned the t bars all the way and I was still sittin 5-7 inches lower than the front!! In the rear....I tried the 4dr. leaves first and that was too high!! I used my stock mono leaves and that dropped me about 1.5.....even then I still had problems with the d/s!!- XPLORIN

READ THIS if you are going to do a SOA on a 2nd gen 2dr. ex!!! These tips will help!!! --Before you weld the perches on....align the rear and the drive shaft so that they are straight and there is no bend. I mounted and welded the perches parallel to the stock perches...and the rear is...- XPLORIN

Sloped body lift + SOA successful
Well....ordered the perches....they should be here tomorrow or Thurs. I will probably do the lift this weekend or next.....I saw a set of spindled from fabtech on ebay, but they were for a 2wd edge!!! That really blows!!! They only ended up going for $200- maybe I will catch another...- XPLORIN

Cool....thx.....do you reccomend doing the rear soa and the front spindles at the same time?? What I mean...if I do the rear first, and then the front.....will it change the angle of the yoke or d/s......I am not sure but I would think no!!??- XPLORIN

NICK26.....on the perches....what diameter or radius did you get? I am not sure of my axle measurement.....ive got the 4.0l 6 with a 10 bolt rear.....2wd of course.....let me know!!!- XPLORIN

Where did you get your perches from, and did you just eye it up when you welded them in place? The only thing that sort of scares me is that this is my evryday driver and I don't want the drive shaft to fall out on me!! would you reccomend having the d/s extended??? On that likk.....which ones should I use? Is the measurement the width of the leaf? Would i have to buy new bolts and stuff or use the stock? Any ideas on the front or the lower shock mounts?- XPLORIN

Yeah....it's a 2wd......would i still keep the lower shock mount under the axle or put it above?.....I have foung the perches.....off another x from the junk yard.....I am just wondering what kind of travel shock I should use......any suggestions? I probably will not go any higher after this!!- XPLORIN

I don't feel like spending the $1500 + on it right now.....I found a set of spindles online that say they will work for mine.....so that should work.....only problem looks like where the shock bolts up in the rear.....i don't know where I should put it.....anyone with a X with this done?????- XPLORIN

What can I do for the front????? Maybe some spindles?? Do they even make them for a 2wd???? I work at a body shop.....so welding is not a problem!! I am just not that great w/dealing with suspensions!! Any good ideas for the front?? What about the shock's?? And what about the angle of the...- XPLORIN

Question to all whom are so educated about this.....ive got a 98 sport 2wd. with the 3'' body lift, t/t up front and war 153 shackles in the rear.....just got the 4dr. leaves today.....is there a way i can put those on and do a soa? If so.....what do I need to do the soa??? And will I need...- XPLORIN

it's down in Baltimore at the convention center.....pretty much a car show with evrything from hot rods to imports......theres probably 4 or 500 cars......a couple of guys from my shop are in a club that show their cars evry year......it's a good time!!!- XPLORIN

Just ordered my 3" BL
Hey man....if you need help.....I run a body shop in Ellicott city and I did the same thing to my X......there's no point in getting the front brackets made! I did and they were pointless....if you take off the stock ones from the bumper and cut off the flanges on the frame rails.....the bumper...- XPLORIN

I have the PA 883 3'' body lift, tt in the front, and war 153's in the rear......i'm sittin about 5 inches higher than stock.....I am thinking about aal's....how much will it give me< and do you think it will look right with the ass end sitting higher???- XPLORIN

turning a 00 XLT into a 00 Limited
yeah...you can also buy a limited grille for like $300. i did it to my sport and it looks awesome!! on the xlt's they have a chrome grille and you cant paint it. it will look tacky!!- XPLORIN
