Gives New Meaning to "Intermittent Wipers!"
Wipers.....no go....horn.....no blow!!!!! My 97 XL is doing the same thing as mentioned above. When set in intermittent mode, my wipers stop mid-swipe! Rear lowering blocks??
Lowering X Im confused, when referring to lowering of a car, for example a "2/4 drop"......which Ive seen in countless "how to" drop projects, 2 is front drop and 4 is rear drop. Im trying to make sense of this. Why would you drop the rear more than the front? What happens if you go 2/2? Would...- onetrickx

Rear lowering blocks??
Thanks Guys, I believe member "Godfather" dropped his X by lowering the torsion bars 2", and guess he used 2" blocks for the rear! Im gonna double check on that setup of his. Get back to you soon! I want to drop 2". Anymore than that, figure might as well bag it!:cool:- onetrickx

Common problems by year...
common problems.... 1997 Explorer XL 5 spd. At 30,000 mi. rear brakes were shot, along with emergency brake shoes. 4 wheel disk brakes. Loud clunk in front end when backing up into a parking stall and turning! At 34,000 A/C clutch will not engage, but if I run 12v power source direct to a/c...- onetrickx

Rear lowering blocks??
I have checked this forum top to bottom, has anyone seen what size rear lowering blocks are being used? I checked out Godfathers setup and plan to do the same setup but do not see the rear blocks mentioned! 2" blocks, 2 1/2"????? THANKS.:cool:- onetrickx
