    Thanks for the info! I was just about to make a service appointment at the dealer, but maybe I'll try to tackle this myself over the weekend. Are there any tips on this site for removing the rear seat and panels to get at the heater box? Thanks again.

    Upgrading hitch on '02 XLT?

    I just purchased a used '02 XLT Explorer that came with the standard class II hitch (no tow package). I would like to upgrade to a class III hitch since most hitch accessories have a 2" mount. Can I upgrade to a class III hitch? How difficult and expensive would this be? Thanks.
