2004 Still Doesn't Start -- Have to Head Home Saturday
Called Ford customer service and president's office this morning -- they will refer to regional service representative, but no immediate help. Car started at dealership this morning -- their latest thought is to replace the fuel delivery module, but they don't have one in stock.- njjason

2004 Still Doesn't Start -- Have to Head Home Saturday
The problem is that the Explorer is not at the original dealer. It is here in Virginia, where I am visiting my parents. The original dealer would provide a loaner, but won't authorize a rental down here. Dealer down here feels no obligation.- njjason

2004 Still Doesn't Start -- Have to Head Home Saturday
My 2004 Explorer XLT is exhibiting intermittant problems starting. PCM has been refreshed, dealer in my parents' city has replaced battery and removed remote starter, but when I came to pick up the Explorer, it didn't start. They thought about the IAC, but apparently 2004 Explorer's no longer...- njjason

2004 XLT Sport -- Starting Problems (11/26)
Dealer thinks it is IAC -- was surprised that previous dealer didn't replace it. Everything else checks out on their diagnostic -- IATS, fuel pump. Don't think it is crankshaft placement sensor, as they have never seen one go bad. I'm having the remote starter removed anyway.- njjason

2004 XLT Sport -- Starting Problems (11/26)
Oh -- I forgot to mention. Had a weird experience last Friday when getting gas -- when I switched the car off, the dome light blinked on and off several times with clicking coming from the steering wheel. Happened when I turned it back on as well, but hasn't happened since.- njjason

2004 XLT Sport -- Starting Problems (11/26)
I have the 4.0 V6. But depressing the gas pedal when starting doesn't help (I've tried it). I will mention the IAC to the dealer -- would that show up as a code in the computer -- the first dealer indicated that they saw no codes when they checked. Thanks for your help.- njjason

2004 XLT Sport -- Starting Problems (11/26)
My 2004 XLT Sport will not start. It is not a constant problem, but has happened three time in two months -- only when it rains or there is moisture outside, but not every time there is. Two times, the starter cranked but the engine would not turn over. The other time, the engine turned over...- njjason
